Yeah I never understood that notion either. I get it was to avoid the Lakers as long as possible, but facing the Mavs is much harder than it would have been against Portland IMO. Like, what's the point if you lose in R1?

Well, you can't blame the Clippers for wanting to avoid the Lakers in the first round but Paul George seems to disappear in the playoffs and has to show up fast in the next game, Im rooting for Dallas in 5

Ummm no Portland is a much more rounded and better team than Dallas. Especially now that they gelled with Powell and Nurk & CJ have their full legs after missing half the season.

I don't think there's a lot of difference between the Mavs and Portland. I just think from a matchup perspective, Portland is a better matchup for LAC than Dallas would have been.

I think Portland is definitely the better team.

But like you said, Dallas just seems to match up well with the Clippers. LAC would probably have an easier time beating Portland.
