I think my lineup is better top to bottom and even though his 1-2 is better not enough to overcome. I got me in a very close one. Nos with a great team again, no surprise.

This is a great first round game. I do like Shane's lineup but he has an awful lot of strikeouts in that lineup. My pitching is better in the rotation and bullpen. Two very good clubs but I have the better "Team".

I got me

Since nos won without actually needing my vote then can I retract my vote for him and vote for Shane instead. I like Nos's team better but I like Shane as a person more. Shane you are #1 in my books.

The only time Ritz votes for me it doesn't even count, well considering I already lost.

No, you are

Ass lick now and kick your ass in NFL draft later. Have you ladies finally set the rules?

Not that it matters but just bc a player strikeouts a lot does not taking away from their hitting. It just means instead of hitting a fly ball or ground ball they missed, obviously. My point is my lineup was great but was also great at getting on base. I didn't lose because of my lineup, I lost because of my weak starting pitching. Just to look at the numbers though...it's easy just to look at strikeouts but better to compare BB's to SO's, also avg SO's per year....

OBP, SLG, OPS

1. Joe Morgan - .392 .427 .819 ---walks to so's - 1865 1015
2. Larry Walker - .400 .565 .965 ---walks to so's - 913 1231
3. Alex Rodriguez - .380 .550 .930 ---walks to so's - 1338 2287 No doubt he was a SO machine
4. Frank Thomas - .419 .555 .974 ---walks to so's - 1667 1397
5. Jim Edmonds - .376 .527 .903 ---walks to so's - 998 1729 No doubt a SO machine
6. Mike Piazza - .377 .545 .922 ---walks to so's - 759 1113
7. Billy Williams - .361 .492 .853 ---walks to so's - 1045 1046
8. Mo Vaughn - .383 .523 .906 ---walks to so's - 725 1429
9. Alan Trammell - .352 .415 .767 ---walks to so's - 850 874

So I had 3 guys that were SO machines but my 1-8 were great at getting on base as well. Half or more could draw fair share of walks as well. Not only could they get on base but they were all power hitters, which that shouldn't count against my lineup IF they could also get on base as well--high OBP.
