Panthers (2-8) have lost a string of close games, putting their coach Ron Rivera's future in jeopardy. Andy Reid is in a similar position for the Eagles (3-7).

How does the money line thing work? I really don't understand how this stuff works, as I've mentioned and my lack of knowledge on this has been apparent.

This game scares me because I know my Eagles have quit, yet I'm not sure just how bad Carolina is? I think they are better than their record indicates. I do know that the boo birds will be in full force tonight at the Linc. As an Eagles fan I'm pulling for Carolina on this. I want a top draft pick. It's time to rebuild this mess. I can't make heads or tails of it either. I saw the preview at nfl.com and they mentioned Carolina had several 4th quarter leads and subsequently blew them. So they've been in several of their games... just haven't sealed the deal.

If Foles is starting behind that o-line, I'm not feeling confident about their chances. The good feeling Eagles fans had in the preseason watching him shine seems like a LONG time ago now.

Vick is done. Foles has nobody. He will be on his back before Maclin, Jackson, or Celek get open. The Eagles are fucked. At least Cam can run because we can't tackle worth of shit.

If you bet 100 on Carolina, and they win, you'll get 100 * 1.67 = 167. Thus, you actually win 67.

If you bet 100 on Philly, and they win, you'll get 100 * 2.3 = 230, winning 130.

Note that the spread does not apply here - you're betting for one team or the other to win, and the moneyline prices in the odds (of that happening for each team) on the payout.

I'm better at this than Texas Hold Em. I am too risky. At least here, I don't have to worry about whether bluffing works or not. There's no way I would be this risky if it was actual cash. There's no way I would actually do this if it involved actual cash.

I know you can't go simply on stats, but I like to throw them out there anyways. Both teams are not very good offensively and turn the ball over. Their records stink, Vick and McCoy are out, Foles looks like a bum at this point. Both teams score in the BOTTOM 4 of the league. Surprisingly the team D's are middle of the pack. I'm going with Carolina and the Under (just a gut, should be close). The Iggles straight up suck nuts right now.
