My avatar is a small section of the room. If you look closely you will see a Romo poster on the right. Funny story- I have said this before- my wife buys things to add to the room. My birthday one yr I come home and she has this big framed picture hanging up with it wrapped. I just knew it was something awesome. I opened it and it was a huge picture of Walter Payton hurdling a Dallas player. I said what is this. She said I just thought you might want something of Emmitt. Behind Payton, there is number 22 chasing him. A 21 is also in the pic. She claimed that was Deon Sanders. I said how much did u pay for this. She said it was a great deal at Target for 40 bucks. I still don't think she knows. It is still up as well

No man it was awful. I was hammered drunk. My daughter was 8 yrs old. She was crying her eyes out. My wife had made me the Dallas room over Christmas in 2007- actually the Wednesday before the infamous Giants playoff game. I only had 2 fatheads at the time. She had painted the room dark blue and gray. Posters , jerseys, pennants all over the walls. For some reason I chose that damn fathead. I put it back together. It is still up today. If you saw it up close though.......
LOL...No one will ever question your passion. I think you are more Dez than Romo though...

Well I guess all of the injuries and the love for Dak Prescott has taken it's toll on Tony Romo.
He has decided to leave the NFL and join the NYPD.

....and clearly this one Giants fan recognized him.

Jerry Jones: Romo is on board with being Prescott's backup, will be active Week 11
Dak Prescott helped lead the Cowboys to a thrilling win over the Steelers on Sunday

Tony Romo will officially return next weekend. But if all goes according to the Cowboys' plan, he won't actually participate in the game. He'll be Dak Prescott's backup.

Shortly after the Cowboys' thrilling win over the Steelers on Sunday, which stretched their winning streak to eight games, Jerry Jones provided an update on his quarterback situation. The Cowboys' owner announced that Romo will be active next Sunday for the team's game against the Ravens -- as the backup quarterback.

The reason is simple: Prescott's exceeded all expectations and has played a major role in the team's ascent to the top of the NFC. At 8-1, the Cowboys appear to be a lock to earn a postseason berth.

More good news for the Cowboys: According to Jones, Romo is on board with the plan.

Against the Steelers, Prescott completed 22 of 32 passes for 319 yards, two touchdowns, and a 121.7 passer rating. His 50-yard touchdown to Dez Bryantwas flawless.

Heck, even Romo was wowed.

Of course, Prescott wasn't the sole reason for the Cowboys' win. Most notably, Ezekiel Elliott ran all over the Steelers behind the league's best offensive line. But Prescott, again, limited his mistakes and made big plays when they needed them, though his numbers benefited greatly from an 83-yard screen to Elliott.

Most importantly, the Cowboys won -- again. Teams, fans, and even players almost always judge performances through the lens of wins and losses. So as long as the Cowboys are winning, it's tough to see the team making a change.

I don't want to take anything away from Prescott's season -- he's been great and deserves to be in the Rookie of the Year discussion along with Elliott -- but it's worth pointing out that he's still two bad games (and maybe even just one) away from a serious quarterback controversy. Romo's sudden fall due to a preseason injury is enough proof that circumstances can change in an instant in the NFL.

For now, the Cowboys shouldn't stress. They're 8-1 and have two top quarterbacks on their roster in a league that doesn't even feature 32 starting-caliber quarterbacks.

That's probably why Jones can't stop smirking.

I think it's a real interesting press conference coming tomorrow from JG. I want to hear him say the words. This hot hand stuff from JJ isn't flying for me. You are either the starter or the back up. As soon as Romo sits on the sidelines in his uniform, his career is effectively over in Dallas. This team chemistry stuff is a big deal, but pulling Dak for poor play will damage the chemistry even more. I mean is it fair to Dak to be taken out for a bad game??? To me if Romo is ready to go, he is either QB1 or QB2 with no plans to make a change.

I was just thinking how in the last game of the season, we face the Eagles. If we have a bye wrapped up and the Eagles need a win to get in the playoffs, the Eagles still won't get an easy last game because they'd have to face Romo lmao. And if I know Romo, he'll do everything he can to win that game.

Maybe Sanchez, not Romo. No way they play Romo with a back up Oline, etc.

Romo needs reps if the situation presents itself down the road.

I agree but they aren't gonna put him out there with Phillys season on the line @ Philly with 3 back up Olinemen, Lucky, Bryce, etc.

I disagree totally. I think if Dak struggles and you have Tony Romo on the bench you are foolish to not make the change and I think there is little affect on the chemistry. Both are good. Right now, Dak may just be a little better. It's not like he is Kyle Petty on the bench. This is Romo. There is no shame in Dak sitting if he struggles a little when you have tony Romo on the bench. Like I said GREAT problem to have.

:scratch:You said this ends Romo's career in Dallas and now you think they won't play him to protect him? I don't get it. He is the backup and one of the reasons to play him would be to et him ready in case Dak gets hurt. So if Sanchez plays over Romo in that situation Romo should not be on the active roster ever and Sanchez should remain the #2 QB.

IMO we have not seen the last of Tony Romo playing for the Dallas Cowboys.

Kyle Petty was a race car driver that got to race because his dad. As far as Dak being better- maybe for the team, not in skill. I picture Romo just ripping it in practice right now and Garrett just scratching his head

I don't think Garrett is scratching his head. He knows this is the right move to make and that extra weeks of healing for Romo sure can't hurt.

He knows it's the right move because of the mojo. He is scratching his head because he knows who is the better player.

I agree with the first paragraph. I think Romo should remain #3. Why would you think they would put Romo out there without giving him the best chance.

So basically you would have benched Dak at halftime yesterday?? That's unfair. If you do that then Dak is looking over his shoulder the rest of the yr. Looking at the sidelines now and seeing Sanchez is totally different than looking over there seeing Romo.

By the way something I have wanted to ask- what if this was Sanchez at 8-1. Would it be different??
