I would say we can hold them to 24. The Panthers were the best offense in the NFL last year and our defense has held them to 10 and 20 points in the two games we played them. Now given yes the Colts are a different style of offense and yes they have scored more against our defense heck just last year but I think with our strong run game helping to control the clock I think 24 points really will be the magic number all year long.

And I don't think many have forgotten how good Luck is. He was the #1 overall pick for a reason and there are still people that I have seen ranking him with guys like Russell Wilson and calling last season a fluke more than the norm.

Luck and Wilson both are easily likable guys, easy to root for. One thing about Luck, if that asshat owner doesn't deliver on his promise to build "a different kind of team" Luck won't ever be much more than a one-man show good enough to carry his team into the playoffs most years but not good enough to get past the better competition once there. Much the way Manning was when he was in Indy. Irsay is squandering a rare talent and it'll be interesting to watch Luck's career progress and the Colts team around him evolve.

I don't think there's much chance that the Broncos defense forgets how good Andrew Luck is, since he's routinely burned them. I also don't think Mr. Luck will forget how good the Broncos defense is either. Ever time he watches Broncos film, his spleen hurts.

The Colts are just too banged up, the Broncos are just too good at home. I still see a pretty convincing Denver win on Sunday.

Not the Broncos themselves. The fans. I think since Indy lost last week and gave up 35 point, Luck's performance was overshadowed this week.

Agree. I've always said 24 is the magic number with this team all the way back to last season.
Average 24+ and this is a 13-3 team

I find it interesting that Irsay in his criticism of Manning said he wanted to win more Super Bowls, and then ends up with the same type of team under Luck. I'd say the reason the Colts haven't won more is staring at Irsay through the mirror.

Sometimes that is not a pretty site either, especially when he gets into his homeboy garb and takes selfies.

Has there been an owner more lucky than Irsay yet a guy who has squandered that away more than him? I mean 2 of the best QB prospects of the last 20 years and he gets both of them. Yet like has already been said all he does is let people or maybe he interferes and continues to design teams the exact same way. Ignore the defense and load up on skill position players while also ignoring the OL. So pretty much he has decided to create a team around the QB that at best is a 7-9 type talent team and then just hope his QB can elevate the team to an 11-5 or better type season.

If Irsay could actually humble himself and look what the Broncos did for Manning of giving him a very strong defense so that he didn't have to go out and win every single game maybe Luck could have those multiple Super Bowls he so adamantly said was why he was getting rid of Manning. Manning was not his problem. It was the rest of the team around him that was.

Well game one was definitely a good start to show we can be that type of offense. 21 points and should have been more with all 3 turnovers happening in enemy territory. So should have been able to put up 30 against a very strong defense. Honestly I would be disappointed if our offense didn't at least put up 24 this week. I know turnovers can happen and some bad bounces but this might be one of the 3 worst defenses we play all year.

We have yet to see if Denver can run away from anyone so I see Luck keeping this close again. 1-3 vs Luck and the one win Denver was up 24-0 and held on to win 31-24 when Roby knocked down a 4th down pass inside the Denver 30.

Oh I agree. I'm not saying we run away with this game. The Colts have had our number and for some reason they are one of the few teams that really shuts down our pass rush making it hard for our secondary to hold up the entire game without giving up a big play or two. Our pass rush needs to show up if we plan on slowing down Luck at all.

To me though the biggest difference in this game compared to quite a few in the past is the focus on the run game. We have done the whole get into shoot outs with Andrew Luck and it hasn't ended well for us. We also have struggled in the games we lost against him to start out well. Last year jumped out to a 17-0 lead if I remember right. In 2013 they were up 33-14 before we started fighting back. So just can't let them jump out early on us really taking us out of our game plan. Get those early stops and let our run game just pound the ball down the field keeping Luck on the sideline.

This is by no means a game I am counting as a victory. We have a lot going in our favor such as injuries to some key Colts players and this being a home game for us. Still Andrew Luck has shown time and again that he can take the Colts on his back and keep any game close.

Well Colts released their final injury report today. Broncos haven't done so yet but for the Colts

Out: Henry Anderson, Vontae Davis, TJ Green, and Patrick Robinson

So that is one of their best run stopping DE's in Anderson, the 2 starting Cornerse in Davis and Robinson, and a back up safety.

Questionable right now for the game are: Butler, Cole, Cromartie, Geathers, Kerr, Langford, and Mathis

So that is their 2 best pass rushers, the next 2 Corners on the depth chart, starting FS, other starting DE, depth DE.

Man that defense is banged up. Would love to see our special teams really take advantage as depth issues usually means special teams have a chance to do something. You have guys playing that don't usually get as much of a chance and the communication can quickly be lacking.

That is the thing though, if Von and Co. can flip on that switch like the last game and the playoffs last year, it could get very ugly for the Colts, if not it will be a long game for us. I know this is stating the obvious. The keys to this game will be not only getting a rush on Luck, but containing him and our secondary locking down their receivers also. Many have stated that the key to the game will be our pass rush, but if you leave Luck room to escape the rush and not contain him, it will also get ugly.

Patrick Robinson has been ruled out.

Colts secondary is already weak, but now it is very banged up.

Think the Te's for Indy will be key in this game for Luck. Not worried about Hilton or Moncrief as we have the dbs to smother them if we get a constant pass rush on Luck. Their quick but not physical. That's what I think Luck is lacking ( thanks to Irsay ) besides a good D, a bonifide #1 big physical Wr to make Hilton and Moncrief more difficult to scheme against. That and a young rb instead of the Ol' man Gore. On paper Denver should throttle them. History shows that's not been case with these two teams unfortunately.

I agree that TE are the best weapon for the Colts.

However - I think the Broncos win this one running away - statement game. Obviously - just a feeling.
