Heat following the act of their “ leader” and collapsing in a game they had in hand

The ball was in the hands of Diva Wade far too much tonight during the late stages of the game when his head was up his ass - Not good when he has the ball in his hand so much and his head isnt in the game - the more he touched the ball late, the more the game turned in the wrong direction, until we ultimately lost it

Vintage Diva Wade, trying to play hero ball with the clock running down, loses it and foul and points on the other end to lose the game.

Again, we need Bosh back asap - and even while he is out, we need to get away from diva late in games if we want a real chance at winning games

We actually got a pretty balanced attack from all that played, but obviously Diva played too much

Mario was Mario down the stretch......Deng could not make a big shot either and Wade was good but average.

Wade picks the wrong time to be “average” at least he is consistent at it?

Wade has to do too much with this roster. The good news about last night is that our coaching staff actually tweaked our defensive scheme a little. Hope we can at least win 2 games on this homestand.

Had more to do with execution than anything else

Still can and should get a win tomorrow - I said this would be a bounce back week for the Heat. A 2-2 week after the weeks we have previously had, would certainly qualify as a bounce back week.

But , just hope the heat dont make a guy by the name of Kelly go off on them on Sunday.

And as I have said previously, you know the east is pretty bad when the Heat continue to struggle as they have and yet still hold the 7th seed, albeit by the slimest of margins. If they can just put a couple of wins together they can move up easily in the standings.

Oh, and last night I mentioned our record being great in the 4th quarter -- it meant nothing at the end -- just like it means absolutely NOTHING and makes NO difference if a game is played on the road or home - especially when it comes to the Heat.

But, at least they were competitive - if we didnt run the offense through diva so much late in the game, we probably would have won.

Does Hassan Whiteside deserve more of a look from Miami Heat? - Sun Sentinel
Tough loss Friday, but the silver lining is the upside of Hassan Whiteside. -- John.

A: I agree that it is nice to have young, active length. Chris Andersen does what he can, but you can see that he is limited, and starting minutes are a stretch at this stage of his career. Obviously foul trouble will be an issue, and the kid is still plenty raw, but I would go ahead and move Whiteside ahead of Justin Hamilton in the rotation. If he can rebound and block shots, he could wind up as a perfect complement to Chris Bosh. For all those who had been calling for a return of Khem Birch, Friday offered a glimpse into Whiteside's possibilities.

Q: What have Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole done to make Shabazz Napier not play? -- Ray.

A: You're missing the point. Chalmers and Cole have nothing to do with Napier. Napier is the one who decides whether he plays. And that means a better assist-to-turnover ratio, better on-ball defense, basically not being a liability in the minutes he's on the court. But against the level of competition of the Wizards, the Heat gave themselves a better shot by bypassing Napier on Friday night. Now, that doesn't mean there's not a place for him in the upcoming games against the Celtics and 76ers. The Cavaliers and Grizzlies? At this stage, that might be a different story.

Q: Ira, I wonder when are you going to start to criticize Erik Spoelstra? I understand that we have lot of injuries and lot of new players, but he keeps failing to get this team to even compete. In addition, the offense is the most predictable in the league. Give the ball to Dwyane Wade and set a pick and have everybody stand and watch if Wade can create offense, no ball or player movement. -- Gago, Los Angeles.

A: First, you can't judge the offense or anything without Chris Bosh on the court. And when Bosh has been on the court, he often has been the focus of the attack. The reality is that without Wade and Bosh together, this thing essentially grinds to a halt. Luol Deng had his moments Friday, but this team needs far better wing play. And the power rotation simply is not stocked with scorers. This is about way more than coaching. It also is about what the general manager and team president gave to the coach. A Danny Granger who actually plays would have come in handy this week.

Considering we have injured guys right now, its easy to find minutes for Hassan but once they are healthy - it might get tougher. And he needs to cut down on the fouls - we commit enough of those already

I'm not disappointed in the game last night. Washington is tough team and we went toe to toe with them. No big deal

If were able to beat Boston & Philadelphia, we would be one game off my prediction after the west coast road trip. I said 15-14 heading into the Cleveland game but looking like 14-15 if we win the next 2

Not terrible considering all the injuries
