Well, at least apologist fiorentino set out the excuses at pre-game setting us up for the loss tonight
his inability to even stay competitive at home against the West and even losing to poor teams.
Lose by 18 to the Jazz at home. They shot over 54 percent from 3 ...better than from the field. Spolestra and this defensive scheme should be put our of their misery.....getting rid of our two assistant coaches was moronic. Not sure that this team even with Bosh can make the playoffs.
Yes...UD has not responded but honestly the man is a shell of himself. Now, Wade is the man and having a great year. Without him, we are battling the Sixers for the lotto.......Spolestra and his so called coaching staff are awful...see first quarter and 3rd quarter performances this year. That is on coaching. Losing to this team at home when Wade goes 12-19 with 42 oIs on this staff and this team! You really like to one-up yourself when it comes to stupidity, dont you? Its not the coaches job to stay competitive - its on the players - they are the ones on the court.
Another enjoyable game to watch. Hope Spo and the Heat F.O. keep up the good work - clearly, they have done all they could - players, including the so called captain, just not responding as needed.
Don't sleep on Boston or Indiana...I think they overtake us and the Nets......they are getting better and I just don't think we will stay healthy this year. The coaching staff is inept and so are fans like Paula who blindly follow Spolestra. They'll make the playoffs once Bosh & Wade doesn't miss significant time. I don't think you realize how bad the East is. Barring some miracle by Orlando, Boston, Indy, NYK, Detroit, or Charlotte I think the East playoffs is already set.
When Bosh comes back we'll look much better on offense. Bosh being out really hurts because we have no big guy that can even put up half of the points that he does....at least when Wade is out, Rio can step up and give us 15 PPG as the starting SG.
Orlando may hang with us and Boston is playing better. As Indiana get healthier and West continues to plAy, I think they will get better. The Nets will blow up.
The good news is we should at least win one of the next 6 games at home. The bad news is we could lose by over 20 in 3 of the next 6 games.
Indiana has only lost 17 and I think their schedule has been tougher than us. They are -3.3 while we are -4.3. Orlando has lost 18 but playing better after an 0-4 start. I hope you are right but not too optimistic.Indiana been healthy for some time now. They're 2-8 since West returned.... The only player they're missing is West
It's not about hanging with us. It's about playing the other 28 teams in the league. Orlando & Indy are already at 18 losses each.
If you really think Orlando could catch us you're out of your mind.
That team is a lock for 50+ losses this year once again.
The only team that is currently out of the playoffs that I give a chance of catching us (if Bosh is out for a while) is Boston

Let's say they have 18 losses after tonight. They are eight in defense and have played Washington 2x, Toronto, Chicago, Memphis, 2x Clippers, Spurs, Cavs, 2x Atlanta, Dallas, 2x Portland and Phoenix 2x. They have a tougher schedule and have beaten us minus West.I'm assuming they lose to the Clippers tonight.
Our schedule has been pretty tough also (not sure who Indy has played) but after Friday we would've already played Atlanta 2X (BTW they beat Cleveland by 29 tonight), WSH 3X, Houston, GSW, LAC, Dallas, Phoenix, Toronto, Memphis, & Chicago
