Duda hits a single and the Mets take the lead. This blows. Retardo gets replaced by De Fratus.

De Fratus gets one out and one to go. If get out of this side with a one-run lead that'll be huge.

Good. De Fratus gets the third out and leaves the Mets with three on base. rollins, Utely, and Howard are up. Let's see if the old magic returns.

Rollins and Utley are out and Howard singles to right to keep the side alive.

We have two on with the walk of Byrd. Blanco is on to replace Howard. We still have a chance.

Typical. D. Brown gorunds out to the Short Stop, we leave two stranded,a nd we go onto the Sunday game which historically we don't play well. WE are ofer against the Mets. Looks like everyone is settling back into the suck-baseball ways again.

They had about 40,000 at the park last nite for Charlie. He had a ride around the park in a Toyota Solara I believe (why not a Cadillac or Mercedes?). We wasted another of Hamels fine starts. Hard to win with 5 ofers in the lineup. Howard did have two good deep flies. I envisioned Brown getting a hit rather than making the last feeble out.

Those plays by Asche were awesome. The guy has quite an arm. Next year hopefully he'll at least hit .270. Retardo blew it again but I can't put all the blame on him. We did have opportunities to score. It now looks like we could lose 3 of the four with KK in there today. That's being optimistic.

I agree jvett. Asche is going to be another of a long line of great Phillies third basemen if he stays healthy. Yep. If at least two of those ofers were hitting, our chances of winning last night would be greatly improved. Again, no runs in 7 innings. We have had streaks like this before. We just are not going to win many games when we have an offense like this. I agree also, with KK, our chances today aren't good.

Even though we got on the board, the Mets scored several times more. We are down 4-1.

I don't know why they keep KK and Burnett around. We just lose games when those guys pitch.

Mets have scored again and we are attempting to add runs but to no avail. Typical Sunday game. The lead is now 6-1.

Hollands is in but this one doesn't look good.

This anemic offense can't get any worse. One hit for the afternoon. That's it. The Phillies have given up 11 hits. This is pathetic.
