But saying that concluding Taijuan Walker, or other top pitching prospects, will have better careers than guys that are VERY mediocre? Isn't a "reasonable speculation"?

not what is being said...what is being said is that considering production to this point, it's pretty reasonable to conclude that kennedy is as productive as marcum...since all he has to do to be equally productive through the same age as marcum is now is put up 200 IP over the next 3 years of 4ish ERA ball
