So, it seems like we are the reality competition gang here...

I just watched the SQUID GAMES competition(not the show, but it is basically all huge fans competing...

But boy, what a great psychological game... absolutely ruthless...

Ok forgive me here- what do you mean by saying you watched the competition but not the show? I havent seen it but just looked it up and saw it was on Netflix. Are saying you just watched the challenge part of a show? Im reading some great reviews and some bad , but the show definitely sounds and looks like something i would love. Now im reading about Squid Games : the Challenge. It says only one episode has been released.

Squid games came out over a year ago and was the most popular show on netflix... It was a great show...

It was so popular that it got a huge fanbase...

apparently there was a demand for a REAL LIFE- NON FICTIONAL- reality competition...

its 2 seperate shows under the SQUID GAMES umbrella...

its not season 2...

thats what i meant, by saying NOT THE SHOW....

If you havent seen the original show, you should watch it... and watch it before the REALITY COMPETITION show...

But the REALITY COMPETITION show just came out... it has 5 episodes so far... the second half of the season is coming out later this month... and that is what i was talking about, it is absolutely great psychological game... and extremely ruthless...

Survivor - Jake hanging in there but man he has a strange demeanor about him. I understood when Kellie was voted out he may have been excited and shocked he wasnt voted out. This week when Kendra picked up her 3rd vote he turned his body and looked straight at her. Not sure if he was trying to console her or simply see the pain in her face when the final vote was read.

Austin - he put one of his idols in Julies bag. Will that cost him in the future ??

I just saw an ad for that yesterday. Looks interesting. But I don’t currently have Netflix. I will put in my queue for when I turn it back on, though.

I was going to check that out on Netflix, but wasn't too keen on the game show aspect of Squid Game.

Im sure if I played I'd dislike a lot of the random aspect of it but as a viewer made it intense. People could go home in that battle ship round to absolutely zero fault of their own.

For more of reality show fix, there is a barstool survivor that just started last night.

I know all things barstool can be hit or miss with people but the premeire was really good. They have done games in the past through different reality variations with an office survivor, an outdoor game thats surivor esq and a road trip type one.

But this one is their biggest production yet as it has Dave and all the biggest personallities playing and hes putting up 100K for the winner so people are really playing. Good production editing, found the first episode to be very enjoyable with all the crazy personalities playing.

Yea... i dont love the randomness either but unlike BB and survivor, we are talking hundreds of contestants... and as fans of the original show, people expected some randomness...

But even battleship, that was really intense... for everyone...


but agree, for the viewer, the randomness, is kind of fun to watch... as it adds the suspensefulness...

Theres already been about 5-7 people with massive content through those 5 episodes that ended up going home in random ways. Makes it unpredictable.

I do hope as things get wittled down now that things do become a little more skill based for the stretch run though.

i disagree... i hate comp beast competitions... the three competitions were more than just who is the best competitor... I hate knowing who is going to win before the competition starts... ruins the game IMO...

I actually think the honey comb competition would be amazing for BB... sure BB would have its own twist... but they need to find more competitions that ANYONE can win.... it shouldnt be best athlete, or stronges, it should be who wants it most


BB is awful at this... at least survivor usually has an equalizer where each contestant uses different weights based on their own body weight

Well I dont necessarily mean they have to win a bunch of challenges. It can be strategy skill based as well.

A lot of the current strategy decisions to eliminate people were gift wrapped a bit. So would just be cool to see some earn it a bit more in the end game and play cut throat.

I definitely dont need to see a bunch of physical comps though. What weve gotten so far has been just fine.
