I just looked at the Phantoms stats and Ike Ratcliffe is last on the team with 8 games played and 0 points.

Attard, York and Foerster are doing pretty good. We need those guys to play well so when they come up next year we can keep salary down.

You can't be serious? We have not scored a goal and Hart gave-up a second goal to 3-9 team!!

Hart gave-up a damn goal in the first. Geez.
No worries. Columbus may be up 2-0, but they are playing a really risky brand of hockey. They're slumping badly and they are vulnerable. I say we still come back to tie this thing at some point and perhaps win it late, hopefully in regulation though. We're really strong in the 2nd period, so I expect Hart to lock it down and for us to respond on the scoreboard.

Honestly, I bet we are tied 2-2 or 3-3 at worst through two periods.

We are winning at Shots-on-Goal, Hits, and Face-offs and no goals yet. Second Period coming-up.

And now we are down 0-3 in the Second Period. Does not look like we are getting anything going offensively. WTH??

There's the First Goal, Finally.
It looks bad down 1-3 through two, but this game is there for the taking. They have lost Werenski and Gudbranson, their top defenseman and arguably another top four defenseman. Korpisalo has been pretty good, but also lucky. The calls and bounces have not gone our way at all. I think we're due a couple of power plays in the 3rd and also a couple of lucky bounces too. I'm sorry, but the officiating has been atrocious for a few games now. Most every call on us is non-existent or marginal and we can't get any power plays of our own. Only one last game and zero so far tonight. It's truly amazing.

Regardless, their four remaining defensemen should be completely exhausted by the end of this 3rd period, so we need to pressure them as much as possible.

Provy finally gets his 1st of the season with the tip of a Konecny pass in front just under the bar. We really need to push and tie this thing. Everything is right there for us, we just have to go and get it.

It won't look like it on the scoreboard, but that's a frustrating loss in what was a very tight game in the 3rd period. The Blue Jackets were just extremely fortunate to have zero penalty kills and then get two long range empty-net goals late.

I think they showed a little bit more effort and desperation than us, plus we made some very sloppy passes that led to opportunities the other way. I'm sure Torts is going to say just shoot the fucking puck and drive to the net. Quit trying to be fancy with it and pass the puck blindly across the ice.

Again though, we were not awarded a single fucking power play for the entire game. How is that even possible!? To some extent, I think that shows a lack of second effort and forechecking on our part, but also obvious errors in judgement by the refs.

That was the one of the worst outcome games in recent history. Two goals scored in the last minute and a half were empty-netters and for what reason exactly? Head scratcher,

I don't think we pressured enough while 6 on 5, but it's very rare to see empty net goals scored from that far away, let alone two of them in one game. Torts kept pulling Harts because he knew this game was there to be had with them down two defenseman and as sloppy as both teams played in their own zone.

Just a blown game. We should've at least taken it to OT tied 3-3.

Like DeAngelo just said after the game, we gift-wrapped them a couple of goals early and it's difficult to keep coming from behind, especially on the road. Really though, we coughed the puck up and let their top two players burn us all within the first 12 minutes of the game. I expected to get a couple of power plays in the 2nd or 3rd, but it never happened. Just no breaks and no puck luck. That said, I don't think we made it tough enough on Korpisalo and their defense in a game where they lost Werenski and Gudbranson.

It's beyond frustrating that we're still without Couturier and Atkinson. These are two of our best forwards, especially when you consider that they play in all situations, and yet they've combined to play in 0 of the 13 games so far this season. That and there is no real timetable for either of them to return.

They said Atkinson just skated with the team for the first time in forever, but that still leaves him nowhere near actually playing in a game. Given that he was the main facilitator in getting Torts to Philly, I imagine the dude is dying to get into the line-up.

Alot of shit scenarios are playing-out under the radar with this team and that Couturier/Atkinson issue is one of the more blatant ones.
