Thank god. Tired of Bally
Every time I get a survey from mlb I tell them how horrible Bally is for the sport.
A lot of casual fans don’t see them on tv anymore, those same fans don’t care to go to the games as much anymore now either.. out of sight out of mind.
I used to talk Rangers with people at work but now days no one is interested..
Couldn’t even give away free tickets today at work.. no one cared for them..
They need to go back to being on a local broadcast channel.

This is a really good, in depth article about what went wrong with Cole Winn this year.

From a recent MLBTR chat with Steve Adams:

"The last top of the rotation pitcher the Rangers developed and had success with was CJ Wilson. Bad luck or a bad organization?"

Steve Adams

"The player development struggles in the Rangers organization in recent years span way beyond pitching. Joe Barlow is the only Rangers draftee in the past five or six years to amass even one WAR in his career so far."

I agree. This has alot of baseball insight
The league is a big hitters league which also may make us overrate hitters

Yeah, you have to keep what those hitters and pitchers did in AA in mind when judging them.

In 1961 I was in NYC coming back from overseas and saw 1 of Maris 60 HR.Almost as exciting was price of the game. 25 cents on 1stB side. Was of course a military special.
I saw him hit one off the top of the fence and go over at a Washington Senators game and even more amazing was that the Senators won.

Kent did well enough to get promoted. Bradford finished strong. White and Englert both did fairly well in short stints after being promoted. On the other hand, Kelly was awful after we traded for him.
White did do well in his 4 starts but where did he learn the most? From Hickory or Frisco? Same with Englert. You are right about Bradford doing well the last couple of months. Kent had a great July but pitched just 16 innings in 5 starts. He actually did much better at RR. I am just not a fan of Frisco's pitching coach.

Neither am I. Some of their success may be in spite of the coach. I hope there are some organizational changes this offseason.

Yeah, they were really careful with Kent after he got hurt in mid-Jine. When he came back in early July they took a few starts to ease him back onto the swing of things.
