AFC Standings Watch

Pretty much. If we lose next week against the Texans, then Oakland and the Jets just have to beat their remaining AFC opponents and they both have the tiebreakers against us.

If we lose to the Texans AND Baltimore, then Oakland and the Jets only have to win 1 of their remaining 2 games against the AFC.

HUGE game next week. Must win.

It doesn't help that Rey M, Tate, and B Scott are allowed to play. It doesn't help that we refuse to play to our downfield passing strength. Simpson had 0 catches. How? How is that possible? Where's Lee? Where's Dunlap? These guys SHOULD be healthy by now, but they're not. I have to believe they're dogging it. The coaching is pathetic. Where's the discipline? Where's the accountability? Why do 2 superior kick returners sit on the sidelines while Tate still remains? Why do we refuse to go no-huddle when it obviously dominates opposing defenses?

Did anyone watch the Texans game? How did the third string guy look? Gotta believe we have a much better chance against a running team with a shit quarterback. However, if we can't find a another offensive threat besides AJ we are fucked.

Steelers: 9-3
Texans: 9-3
Patriots: 9-3
Ravens: 9-3
Broncos: 7-5 (Denver holds tie-breaker)
Bengals: 7-5

Raiders: 7-5 (*we currently hold tie-breaker)
Jets: 7-5 (**we currently hold tie-breaker)
Titans: 7-5 (we hold the tie-breaker)

*No head-head games, so conference record is the next tie-breaker. We're at 6-4 and Raiders at 5-5. However, with the Raiders toughest games being against the NFC (Packers and Lions) and ours being against the AFC (Baltimore and Houston), in all likelihood, if we're tied at the end of the season, Oakland will either win this tiebreaker outright, or tie us. And in the case of a tie, we go to common games. It comes down to Houston. If we beat Houston, we win that tiebreaker, if we lose, Oakland wins it.

**In order for the Jets to win the tie-breaker, they'd have to lose 1 more game against the NFC than we do the rest of the way. Certainly possible considering they have the Eagles and Giants as their toughest competition remaining and our toughest being against the AFC. Furthermore, they can't tie us and beat us at 11-5, but they can tie us and beat at 10-6 (or worse).

...and I'll bump it every hour or so to keep it at the top.

I've deleted maybe 1 or 2 of your posts in the entire time we've been here. I think you're an ass sometimes but I don't pick on your posts. I'm as impartial a it gets. Just because I don't jump at you whim and ban everybody who bothers you or fix your posts for you doesn't make me impartial.
