Maybe not supposed to be our year, but Oregon missing out the year that Miami beat Florida State and Washington beat Miami. I think Oregon had one loss also. Joey Harrington.

But it just fell apart, I mean the wheels just came off?
Virginia Tech 2002. Beating LSU and winning at Texas A&M and no losses until losing four out of the last five ranks up there for me. Too many Michigan ones to list.
1987 & 1988 Auburn - If Auburn had won the recruiting battle for Emmitt Smith we win the national championship back to back.

1994. That team was more talented than our 95 team that played for a national title and at least as talented as our 96 team that won a national title. We went 10-2-1 in 94 and had no business being anything but 13-0.
1985 we lost to a vastly inferior UGA team - our only loss of the season. We also tied Rutgers because our coach put in the backup QB once we got “safely” ahead and he immediately turned it over 4-5 times in a row.
Supposed to be was in the title.
You guys lost 3 games in 2014, including two games to unranked teams that finished the year a combined 14-11. How was that your "supposed" to be year?Supposed to be was in the title.
2014 was the most talented team of the Mark Richt era. But he choked and we lost the SEC East to a team we beat 34-0 in their stadium.
Because they were supposed to be good before the season began but they ended up being not as good. You guys lost 3 games in 2014, including two games to unranked teams that finished the year a combined 14-11. How was that your "supposed" to be year?
