Bull shit if you ask me, it’s a team sport. why not blame the guy that missed the block that allowed the kick to get tipped? Or the defense for letting Philadelphia score, or clock management, or Mitch for over throwing the receiver, or,or,or. I understand he gets paid to do one thing, but so does everyone else on the team. Everyone on the team made a mistake yesterday. But as they say “ A kicker is only as good as his last kick “

The only reason the kicker is out there is because the offense failed

The rush total for the entire team was 65 yards on 18 carries.

The entire team should be looking in the mirror.

Dude, of course everyone is going to scream at the fucking kicker there, particularly in the immediate aftermath, and in this particular instance, Parkey had already hit 5 uprights this season, including 4 IN ONE GAME!! That obviously exacerbates the fans' reactions.

And fwiw, nobody missed a block...the kick was low. It was tipped, ostensibly at the line of scrimmage. And no, nobody else on the team only does ONE THING, except the dumb kickers.

With all that said, Nagy went Andy Reid on us for the first 3 quarters. That's why they lost. Because they kept settling for FGs.

It's called reality

Or should we all coddle him and wrap him up in a warm blanket because some internet trolls said means things to him?

I see, so it's either participation trophies for everyone or death threats for the losers with nothing in between!

Weren't there quite a few Bears fans that thought Nagy should get COTY?

It would be difficult to argue against him, tbh. 5-11 to 12-4, almost the same roster. He obviously did some things right.

The Bears organization failed to make a change at kicker half way through the season when they knew it was going to end up biting them in the ass.

Same with Seattle, win or lose Saturday eventually Seabass was going to derail the playoff run regardless.

Cuz there are just great kickers sitting around at the kicker store eh?

Bears just paid Parkey decent coin this offseason.

I honestly think he will still be their kicker next year.

But according to the Great Pumpkin, you need a wall to keep assholes out.

What you need is free United Airlines tickets out..... The really scary asshats already have citizenship. And probably guns.

Watching Mr Slim blow a hammy (or whatever he blew) brought a smile to my face.

Ex-Dallas kickers seem to work out OK for those that pick them up.

Consider the sport.

5 running backs, 6 WRs, 2 QBs etc..

There is only so much room for pro kickers to make money.

Hell there are High School kickers at the highest level who are busting 60 yarders in practice and games now.

So he is good enough to win during the regular season but not the playoffs?

As a fan of the AFC West Seahawks of the early 80s I generally despise players that we sign from our rivals and the Fatbastard was no exception..

I appreciated the effort to kick a 90 yard field goal but it turned out about exactly how I would have envisioned it.

I don't follow....so the Bears should've eaten the 9 million they paid him after half a season? He didn't have a horrible season per se.

And the highschool comment has little to no merit in the conversation....I have sank multiple 20 foot putts in my life, it doesn't mean I will to win the Masters.

Seriously? Ya, you eat the money if you made a bad deal. 9 million is nothing. The Bears were 12-4 and a serious condender to make a trip to the Bowl.

Overplayed players get dumped all the time and replaced. It happens to QBs, RBs, WRs all the time..

As a disliker of the Seahawks since inception I quite liked it.
