Now the gm meeting vote.
Apparently you guys are going to have the same expansion draft rules as Vegas BUT you CAN'T pick from Vegas
I don't know if I really agree with that, Vegas should have to run the risk of losing a player just like everyone else.
I heard yesterday the reason why Vegas wont have to expose their players is because when they came in the league, there was actually supposed to be another expansion team that came in at the same time (so therefore wouldn't have had Vegas around to choose players from) but something happened in that city and it fizzled out. Vegas also wont be getting any of the $650M expansion fee.I don't know if I really agree with that, Vegas should have to run the risk of losing a player just like everyone else.
Really a shame

with 10,000 coming in the first 12 minutes after they were made available at 10 a.m.
To compare, the most recent NHL expansion team in Las Vegas had 5,000 deposits in the first two days of its season ticket drive and 9,000 within a month of going on sale in February 2015.

I will stand by that the Key Arena is not feasible for the long term success of any franchise. It will at first without question, but the headache of that location won't be worth it once the new shiney toy wears off. Unless they are just bringing in a team to have Amazon, Expedia and TMobile employees wanting attend games.
AlmostThat had to hurt to even type that.

Well, it's certainly not good news. I would say the only way it's bad news is if it jeopardizes getting the team, which I really doubt. Necessity is the mother of invention, so they'll figure out a temp solution (Showare in Kent?) if it comes to that.Good News, Bad News, No News: NHL Seattle arena might not be ready in time for 2020-21 season
