You fell victim to one of the classic blunders.

But you know what you're getting with Gordon, Hunt and Kamara.. a lead back on a good offense with good OC calling the plays.

Barkley is on a subpar offense who may be passing more to stay on games. With an enigma at QB, a diva at WR (ODB), and supposedly a reliable TE target in Engram.

Sure, the Giants may come out running to start games, but will they have to abandon that game plan by halftime? Does ODB start throwing fits he's not getting enough looks?

And how does Barkley/Giants fair against the first 6 defenses they face which include JAX, CAR and PHI?

Kamara, Hunt and Gordon seem like much safer picks.

Just a devils advocate, point /counterpoint thing-
First, yes absolutely Kamara should go before Barkley, no matter what.
But then..those other guys have questions too. Will the first year starting, gun-slinging Mahommes be good for a RB, or will the likely inefficiency hurt Hunt?
With Gordon, just how long does he keep getting volume with a sub 4 ypc, especially with Ekeler ripping off chunk plays left and right? And, is it realistic to expect double digit TDs every year? Cuz if that dips, Gordon is suddenly a better catching version of CJ Anderson production wise.
And go on down the list, most every back has similar questions, Fournette has the erratic Bortles, Freeman has Coleman and an offensive system that hasn't been the same since Shanny left, Cook has the knee and Lat. Murray, on and on.

I think any if those guys could go in any order, and there would be valid reasoning behind choosing your guy over the others.

What are people smoking?

Barkley is filthy.

Filthy.

Do you think it's some joke?

Why would you treat the highest RB drafted ever like some scrub that some sorry ass team fooled themselves into picking in the mid-first?

Absolutely baffling.

He is going to catch a ton of balls and break a ton of huge plays. Being a rookie doesn't limit him at all.

You're never getting him outside of the top 3-5 ever again unless he tears something. Paying late first value for a RB with his talent is tremendous value. It's an opportunity you never get in fantasy. Those guys all go top 5 every year.

They don't even have other backs in NY. It's the Barkley show.

In over a fucking generation. For fuck sake, does that change anything? Barkley is more talented than any RB ever drafted into this modern NFL that teams play in now.

I hope the people drafting ahead of me drip with fear like you do.

Do you mind sharing whatever you are smoking?

Barkley is a legit RB that will put up good numbers in FF, but to say he is the best in a generation is a little much.

It's not. I guess we could just miss it and talk about it after the fact. That would be really great for fantasy purposes.

Ok just stating, you’re wrong
No shit, that statement was exaggerated. And you're making a distinction without a difference.

Too many Barkley haters/RB haters in draft season really spoils the conversation about the truly special ones. Everyone wants to find the most average outcome for any draft pick, but that isn't what happens when they put the pads on.

Ok so you are saying that someone that has never played a down of NFL football will have a better career then Charles, Tomlinson, Peterson, Alexander, and LeVeon Bell amongst others.
