His lemmings will take this as proof of the deep state conspiracy that all started when JP Morgran sank the Titanic to cover up the moon landings which JFK Jr faked his death to warn us of.

not to be crass, but isn't that just only a bit above average for a Chicago weekend?

Things seem to be improving slightly compared to last year...

Mayor Rahm Emanuel said Monday morning he visited Stroger and Mt. Sinai hospitals to thank those that treated the victims of the violence.

"What happened this weekend did not happen in every neighborhood in Chicago, but it is unacceptable to happen in any neighborhood in Chicago. We are a better city," Emanuel said.

Johnson said while CPD can do better, the shooters need to be held accountable.

"I hear people holding us accountable all the time," Johnson said. "I never hear people saying these individuals out here in the streets need to stop pulling the trigger. I never hear that. I never hear that. They get a pass from everybody and they shouldn't."

Police said they've been working around the clock this weekend and that the department has seen a citywide reduction in shootings by 17 percent this year.

Those were the kind of tidbits I was looking for. :thumb:

A few more. It has been spreading that Trump's visit was uninvited. The rally for Balderson was originally supposed to be Kasich, Portman and Jordan at the fairgrounds. Trumps said he was coming and the governor refused to let him speak at the fairgrounds.

Also, Troy Balderson staged a photo op where he smiled and dialed for voters for ten minutes and got no one except someone who hung up on him.

And finally, someone put a camera in his face at a district office and asked him to commit to not support Jim Jordan, in light of the sexual misconduct allegation, for speaker of the house. He went inside to the office which had four people in it and stood with his back to the camera man, staring at the wall while his "staff" tried to make the guy leave.

a bunch of years ago, our Prime Minister was John N Turner.
In Canada, Prime Minister still needs to be a duly elected Member of Parliament (ie. win his own riding).
At this time, the ballots could only have the candidate's name on the ballot - not the party.

So his riding was in Vancouver, and some joke party - Rhino Party if I recall correctly - (it's very cheap to register a candidate here)
put up a candidate named John L Turner. When asked what his platform was, he replied "a skateboard"

I think he came in 2nd in the riding.
