I loved Bob,but he was famous for throwing kids redshirt seasons away in the 4th quarters with like 5 minutes left against teams like Kansas, Tulane, etc, etc,. Games where you don’t gain much actual experience. So I’m definitely in favor of this.

This is great news. I'm interested to see how this impacts bowls at the end of the year, or games like Mich vs. OSU. Guys can just be plugged in at the end of the year without burning redshirts.

That was my thoughts too.
With 3 games remaining on a schedule (plus bowl), can you now let everyone play?

Yes - you can let the entire roster play and not burn any redshirts. After thinking about this more it will also be really interesting to see how this impacts the non-conference scheduling. It might make sense to do what Alabama does and put a cupcake game in November, for no other reason than to give all your redshirts a chance to play.

This is also interesting with the recent developments of kids skipping bowl games. Say your star QB skips your bowl game, you can now play the younger QB's behind them without burning their year of eligibility in the bowl. Hell, some coaches might even choose to sit their senior QB's who are leaving to give their backups game experience before the next year. The possibilities of how this could impact the end of the season are really interesting.

My guess is every single RS Frosh will get PT in the bowl game for sure, and probably many coaches will utilize the 4 game limit and most of these RS Frosh will play in 4 games.

Bro, 4 games = every SEC OOC. Or more accurately, the 3 they play against scrubs and one of their own bottom feeders. So pseudo development league.

Don't get your panties all in a tiff. No one said anything about only SEC teams using all 4.

The biggest difference is most SEC teams have that late cupcake. If you burn all of your 4 early and have an injury somewhere you end up burning a RS year. Most other teams will probably save at least a few that don't end up getting used. Any team that has crap games late will more readily be able to take advantage of it.
