That's why I don't think we need a center. Bryant and Zublacka could each get 18-20 minutes with Lopez gone.....and then we go small ball for 8-12mpg.
You are aware that they are getting cut if you get two max guys, right?

I dunno. he's never been a consistent shooter, goes bonehead mode when rebounding sometimes, and doesn't run the floor well...

he'll occasionally get you a blocked shot or 2, but really that's about it as far as i can tell...

I doubt playing time's gonna fix all that...
He's a bench guy as best.

If you get max guys, he's gone.

If you don't, no harm in seeing if he can develop for another year.

As best, he's a less athletic Javelle McGee.

You need very high IQ guys on the court to spoon feed him.

.....and still, you only play him in spurts.

Some team will get a great deal on Anderson when he signs a make good contract.
Meh... .

Same with J Crawford.

He must have really hated playing for Thibbs to opt out.

I expect him to land in Houston or wherever LeBron lands.

Sad that he turned down the Dubs because he wanted playing time. Yet, he sat on the bench anyway.

I'm sure he regrets it.

Swaggy got a little playing time and he also got a ring.

Crawford would've got a little more burn than Swaggy did. I say a little because he would likely have served the same role as Livingston.

I'm pretty sure they could get a future pick for Zubac and Bryant.

They could get something.

Yeah, they could probably get a 2nd rounder for each of them. Maybe a late 1st rounder for Bryant because of his athleticism, but that might be a stretch.

Agree. I think he'll be better than Javale because he's smarter. But he's never going to have Javale's athleticism.

Some of my fellow Lakers fans are higher on him than I am. I see him as a solid backup big (Lopez lite)...nothing more.

I was listening to a national radio station Friday and the two pundits were now floating the notion that the Lakers will sign Randle to an extension after they sign Klay Thompson and then LeBron to max contracts. Apparently Klay Thompson now wants a max deal and the Dubs won't be able to go there because of kap restrictions.

The logical location would be the Lakers because the GS system is there, Luke is there, and Magic really wants two players with not only play-off experience but Finals and championship experience. LeBron would also like Klay because he would have someone to pass to and feed his game as well. I suspect Mychal, Klay's dad maybe pushing this as well.

Don't know if anything is substantiated but nothing surprises me anymore in professional sports.

Pretty sure they could bring them back after signing the FA's....
Why would they want to?

If you get two max guys, you could likely talk a guy like Dedmon into a vet deal.

Zubac is just a energy guy.

If they had time to wait, maybe.

They should be making calls to have that kinda Shit lined up ahead of time.

Because, it has to be done before they can sign two max guys.

I'm confused.

Lebron and Randle are free agents this Summer.

Klay isn't until next year.

So, how can they sign Randle after?

Plus, LeBron is not coming to LA solo, not even for a year.

Did they say they expect him to pick up his option and stay in Ohio for another year?

Agree to a point.

With more consistent playing time and development, I think he has a future as a solid backup big. I see him as a "Brooke Lopez lite" type of player.

A big body that can bang a little, has some offense, but ultimately is too slow and unathletic to be a major contributor off the bench or even an average starter.

Really, about the only thing still keeping Lopez as a starting quality center is that he has learned to shoot the 3 (although he falls in love with it too much at times) and he's smart.

I think Zubac can be that type of player, but not a starter.

This, along with our foodie experiences makes you a smart person.

Agreed.

Frankly they should be trying to attach Bryant and their 1st to get someone like ATL to take Deng.

Sorry on the misleading info on Klay Thompson. What the pundits were intimating is that Klay would join LA either as a sign and trade this summer or next summer as a UFA. If it is next year, the Randle signing could then occur this year. I suspect all of this is speculation on the part of the radio hosts but it is intriguing nonetheless.
