For years, this thread has existed and now all the sudden, we've got mods -- and one from the Pacific Northwest, for fuck's sake -- metering out discipline over fucking nothing.

For years, this thread has existed and now all the sudden, we've got mods -- and one from the Pacific Northwest, for fuck's sake -- metering out discipline over fucking nothing.

Seriously, a big and sincere "fuck you" to whoever attracted the mods to this place.

This place is ridiculous, you can barely talk baseball anymore. I look at the old threads from 2013, people would bust each others chops but in fun. Even doug was decent, until the ruthless attacks on him kept on and on ... the same fucking things over and over. Miami Vice was better than some of the BS I've seen. Someone else brought the mods in, but I jumped in with my opinion. I had many on ignore, but I am taking people off, because I think the problem may have settled down ... hopefully. I don't find the political Forum as offensive as this, it goes beyond hate to harassment. For the record, no one has harassed me. Just my humble opinion.

I agree to some extent. I've stated that I think iffy and handi have taken the wind-doug-up game way too far, but on the other hand, no one is stopping anyone from talking baseball.

When there are compelling AL Central subjects to discuss, they can and will get discussed.

I don't know anything about tHoop in 2013 because those were the dark ages, before I migrated here from FN.

After they started geeking doug up ... I agree it has gotten bizarre ... If my team were as good as the Indians, I'd really be annoyed about all the stupid stuff ... who cares about the Wolverines and buckeyes? I do, just not on this thread ... Lord knows, I take my lumps over there (as I should).

Frankly, I think the Astros talk was bound to happen regardless of Iffy or Handi winding doug up. I get the impression that Doug became a diehard Tigers fan sometime around September, 2011 and that their fortuitous four year run allowed him to develop the bombastic homer attitude that we know (and kind of love?).

Now that the Tigers have again become the worst team in the division, he's going to find a new winner to hitch his star to and the Verlander jump to the Astros gives him a bridge to do just that.

The fact that doug brings up UoM/tOSU stuff is really funny because I honestly think it's hard to decide if the Indians own the Tigers more, or if the Buckeyes own the Wolverines more. He's like, "yeah, well, I don't care that the Indians have been bending the Tigers over the barrel for years now, because tOSU has been sodomizing UoM for decades."
