in the first period of tonites game i saw zherdev with a nice take away and also saw him lay down in front of a shot. for all those who say zherdev is a floater and doesnt play defense

This is the second time he's responded after being a healthy scratch. Had that great goal and just set up a great opportunity for Carter that turned into JvR's goal. Really great game tonight.

in my opinion zherdev was the best player on the ice tonite. and the JVR carter zherdev line is incredible...lavy better keep them together...its like the second coming of the hartnell briere leino line

Yep Carts actually looked like he wanted to play hockey the last two games super happy about that as this team will be even sicker with this line rolling. Funny put 3 guys who aren't dong so well together and bang they look great...love it.

THe problem with Zherdev is that he has no responsibility at all as to when he is willing to try a dangerous move or pass. He played great last night, but in the 3rd period he tried coming into the offensive zone with some sick move across the middle. He got stripped, and the Habs had a 3-2 break. Not what you want in a 3-3 game. Plus, how does he only have 2 assists? But he looked good last night overall.

Because when he's coming on a rush, he's passed the puck once all year. That was last night to set up the game winner.

Ander, that is just ridiculous. Not your stat, that Zherdev can't even accidentally find someone once in awhile. He is a magician with the puck if nothing else. Hope his new line keeps him moving...

Yea, he's got a magnet on his stick, so it doesn't slide off and happen to find a teammate with an empty net the way it does for someone like Powe.

was nice to see zherdev finally do an interview tonite. his comments seemed very humble and said that he knew he had to work hard to earn the ice time hes just now getting, even if its 30+ games in

zherdev has been putting the puck in the net...and has been working harder in the defensive end...richards,giroux,powe have been positive influences on him...learning to play both ends of the ice...he is getting there...

13 goals in only 12 minutes of ice time per game. And a bunch of it on the 4th line. Not bad. Now if he could only hustle enough to earn consistent top line minutes from Lavy.

Some pen fans were urging Lavy on to give Z 20 min a game so he could self destruct....methinks Z is proving them wrong lately. Its ok if you have one or two wildcards in the lineup if they produce like he has heck he could rach 30 goals this year and the assists will start to come. This teams scary good when that lines giving'er...who do you focus on stopping? : )
