His ceiling, not what he shows game 1 in a new system.

Sorry but I have forever found that a HORRID reason to give a guy the job... because some day he has the potential to eventually be alot better than the other guy might ever become. The perception that his ceiling wasnt very high is what had Brady slip to the 6th round.

And it doesnt matter how high the ceiling is if the floor has holes and weak spots in it.

That's fine, but we haven't even seen game 1 in a new scheme with a new coach and WR corps. Seems a bit absurd to be thinking like this at this point in the season. But that just my opinion.

Maybe you have a point. But then I thought it was absurd for the new coach of a 3-13 team to come in and proclaim that ANY position wasnt open to competition.

In most towns perhaps. But not after Griffs 2012 rookie of the year performance and the ensuing injury and dysfunction of last year.

I look at it this way... you left your wife and kids for this woman...and she's pregnant... Credit Cooley for the analogy :D

Honestly, really not too concerned about what all the talking heads think in regards to RG3 play in pre-season games up to this point...I will put a lot more weight in what his teammates say. Now, if that tone were to change...then I would be on board with we have a problem.

Until then, Chill peeps...it's just a practice game.

but my question would be , why are we trying that with RG3 ? use him like wilson and kaeprnick and stop trying to fit a square peg into a circle hole

When the peg decides he doesnt want to fit into his normal hole, and keeps trying to go into the other hole of its own free will... how do you fix that??

Cunningham was never a good pocket passer.

Namath was an average yet overrated QB from NY.

Staubach was never a "pocket passer."

Terry Bradshaw ran the ball?

He hasnt been THAT bad. He is currently 14th worst QB rating for this preseason. And i know I know, many will say its just preseason. I dont care about scores and winning in preseason. But if you are having basic football issues playing basic football and making basic football decisions in the preseason.... that should worry some folks.

Joe Namath - 3 years - 655 yards rushing

Roger Staubach - 3 years - 635 rushing yards ... -1 yard his senior year

Terry Bradshaw - 2 year starter, one of the passing yard leaders in the nation

You weren't blowing smoke at us were you dad?

yeah i guess roger the dodger was blowing smoke

tom landry his HC said roger's best attribute was running when he came up . look at nfl films same with namath , look at nfl films and what they said

and yes staubach did become a pocket passer

cunningham with the vikes was an exceptional pocket passer thougn he did have moss and carter

Can we stop comparing RG3 to some of the greatest people to ever play the position at LEAST until he can prove he is better than some of the average people to play the position??
