now that he scored that goal in such a way that he did.. i mean good line work no doubt but man this guy needs to keep confidence in his shot.. in my opinion best shot on our team at least slapper wise.. very niiice accuracy and good hard shot.. i'm not saying he has the hardest.. just the best combo of accuracy and a speed on the shot that is nothing to sleep on..

i think he is highly under rated as a shooter.. wish he had confidence to shoot more often but i understand that he likes also to playmake with his linemate parise

I agree that Zajac needs to shoot more. I don't know if he lacks confidence in his shot or if he has completely focused his game on being a playmaker. Either way I'd like to see him break the 70 point mark this year.

on a differrent note anyone catch hockey night live before the game.Have togive credit to butch g for calling out the rangers method of lowering their cap as anotherform of circumvention.The looks on the rest of the panels faces and how defensive they got was worth it for me.

It is great that we are able to keep Zajac on our team. I like his game and he has a lot of potentials.

I only saw a little bit of the same. I'm abroad, so it was on when I woke up this morning, and I was only able to catch a little bit before going hiking, but anyways. I missed the Zajac goal, but I always thought he had a great shot, and like Magician said, I don't think he lacks confidence in it but rather, just opts to be the playmaker. I recall him saying in interviews that he often gets told to shoot more and that he tries to at times but that he also "has to hook up Zach."

Also, I thought Kovalchuk, Parise, and Zajac looked good together, from the little I saw. I was never really that opposed to them being together, because our second line is still a very solid one. I like the idea of distributing offensive power, but I also feel it's very important to have a very dominant line that could ensure goals. Last year, I kind of wanted to see Parise and Elias together more. They had that stretch of time when they looked great together in OT. I wouldn't have minded seeing what they could do together more in regulation.

they've been together all through camp.
i think that will stay the same, but once we get into the grind of the season who knows but they looked good last night

cant remember who was there for the rangers but he did get all bent out of shape.To bad butch is leaving hes never been afraid to speak his mind.Danoseemed like he wanted nothing to do with the subject.

I love Dano, but I don't think he's smart enough to comprehend cap circumvention. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, which is ok because he's the biggest hammer on the bench.

i would like to see deb get a shot to i also like her on nhl live.the worst thing about butch leaving is he was always honest and not afraid to speak.and he didnt so much play favorites as much as the rest of the panel.
