It's fool's gold. They are not a good football team. They have a nice defense, but that's it. They benefit from playing a bunch of other bad to meh teams.

regardless, it is a very watchable product in today's game, which is your point that I was referring to. there's really only 2 teams that have separated themselves in the AFC, so agreed, they aren't one of those 2 teams, but by your standards, there's only a handful of teams in the entire league worth watching?
