Amazing.... they usually talk about the Cowboys or the 49ers or even Chris Bermans favorite the Bucks. Never.. ever.. do they talk about our Rams. In fact they usually do a good job shrugging off the Rams and only comment when they absolutely have to. SO what is the topic?? Is it about Sam Bradford?? Could it be the health of Jake Long? Is Stan Kreonke moving the team?? Are they giving us credit for a good 1st rd draft??? Turn on the tube and low and behold.....all of the focus is on our new 7th rd stud boy. I think they even have him penciled in as a starter.

I gotta say thanks ESPN for finally allowing our RAMS in the limelight.......Great Channel !

That figures. Seems to me somebody warned all of us of the coming media dog and pony show. And who might that be?

And so it begins. But it really isn't going to be a distraction you know. All the players tweeting derogatory things, and all the media attention focusing on this is just par for the course......another day at the office.....

If you watch the draft grade shows, all the analysts have the Rams among the best drafts, so they are getting coverage otherwise.

Rams are also getting coverage for posting **** and violating PED regulations; would you rather focus on these positive stories?

The Rams are my team this year for making the biggest improvement in the NFC (Raiders in the AFC).

Hopefully (unfortunately not bloody likely), this story will simmer down and Sam will be judged on the field of play. As it should be.

Raiders had a really good draft if you think Carr could be a QB. They got Gabe Jackson IIRC and Khalil Mack.

Anyone else think that the Rams did this to sell tickets to preseason games?

You guys are overlooking the book and movie deal. Brad Pitt is slated to play Fisher. I would have picked Danny Devito.

The official story I heard on NFL Network yesterday was that Sam was 'lower on the Rams board and then at some point in time in the 7th round Fisher said lets go get Sam and everyone started buzzing at the possibility'

Its hard to get around the part where the analyst/reporter said that Sam was lower on the Rams board

Yea, this was a publicity stunt because many of the sports outlets are now stating the same thing.

We are talking about pick 249 out of 258. That's where the picks become more about which guys you want to keep out of the UDFA process and which you'll take that chance with.

There's definitely some politics involved with the pick as well, there's just no getting around that.

I beg to differ.

there is a way of getting around that. It's called treat him just like any other player. Fact is he is just like every other player. It was simply a political statement now matter how you slice it and dice it. Personally I don't care either way. But Rich Isien (sp?) is on my perm-a-hate list now. He was stirring the pot so bad that I actually had to change the channel. I could also tell Mike Mayock was getting pissed off with it. :lame:

Fact is he probably would have went undrafted if the Rams didn't take a shot on him. Sure he would have been an UDFA on a number of teams but it's not fair to all of the other guys whom the Rams drafted that are getting the shaft because this guy is hogging the lime light. I'll let him have his 10 minutes of fame tho, lord knows he'll need it.

As far as the Rams getting some much needed attention..........Have you guys heard the commercials where the commish is calling out the top picks. Starts with Clowney then goes straight to Bortles and then to Manzey. Skips right over the Rams. So good. :laugh3:
