The Phils Front Office continues to show they are clueless about how to run an organization, blunder after blunder after blunder, all the while they continue to stock pile old hasbeens with nothing left in the tank and giving away young talent for basically nothing in return. I thought back then how could this guy have been included in the deal and now it finally comes to light that they fucked up, again!

I brought this matter up recently on the prospect post. The Amaro led FO is incompetent. Singleon,Santana will make a ready and able outfield punch for the Astros. But where is Pence? Gone to play with a contender.

Yup they gave up alot for a slightly above average player rental, very remiscent of the braves rental for Tex a few years back that pretty much solidified the Angels roster. Ed Wade really pulled the wool over the Phils eyes in this deal!

The Mariners haven't been to the playoffs since 2001, spent $120m on payroll in 2008 and now refuse to spend more than $90m. How do the Mariners decide to allocate that $90m they have to spend? They tie it up on two players ($24m for Cano, $24m for Hernandez) and our highest paid position player after Robinson Cano? Utility man Willie Bloomquist at $2.8m.

What about Corey Hart. He gets over 7 million. Although he is probably a DH. Lower payroll but you have a better team than the Phillies.
