From the MLBTR chat this afternoon:

MLBTR seems to all have predicted Ohtani to LAD. Do you actually see that happening? Or do you think he signs with a low market team like the Orioles?

I picked him to the Rangers, but yeah each of Darragh, Tim and Anthony went Dodgers. That's not a declaration of extreme confidence in the Dodgers or anything though. It's just a highly plausible fit that they all chose when making their top 50 predictions/guesses independently of one another.

One thing I haven't seen pur local media address is how signing Hader would affect Leclerc. He came up big for us when it counted. I know he would be disappointed to lose the closer role, but I wonder how he would adjust.

I don't think the team will go anywhere near Hader or Ohtani since they will blow up their budget and not fill all the holes. There is no guarantee Ohtani will ever pitch again so they would end up with a way over priced DH and relievers are a dime a dozen...

The Rays Robert Stephenson, is being linked to the Rangers.

Which good relievers have been a dime a dozen since the latest CBA? Ones that a team has to acquire, that is. Not including home grown ones.

Anyone interested in the Cuban defector, Yariel Rodriguez, for the bullpen?

Absolutely on the money. No guarantees on Ohtani.

Comparing the two, I would say Ohtani is easily the best use of money between him and deGrom. I am not saying he would be a wise investment, but between the two I give the advantage to Ohtani. I don't remember many saying deGrom was a bad idea last year.
