Workman has been sensational in his 1st 3 starts. 13 Ks to only 3 walks.,with a 1.12 WHIP!

Let's hope he keeps that up!

He's matched up against 32 year old Joe Saunders, who's season 1.48 WHIP is a bit above his
career 1.38. Hopefully we can get those numbers even more widely separated than they are now.
While avoiding any base-running no-nos. Scoring earlier and more often than we have been recently
would also be nice.

GO RED SOX!

I just bet $20 vCash on our Red Sox, and don't want to be the only Boston rooter showing
confidence that way as I am now.

It's not real money, people, so risk a little!

Let's hope the offense comes alive today and Nava doesn't need to run the bases. lol

Workman has been great since being called up and I expect nothing less from him today!

Nava hasn't been the only one running the bases poorly. Let's not focus too much
on any particular player where that's concerned.

Aggressiveness on the bases can pay off, but can also be overdone. We need a LITTLE more caution
in that area, but only a little bit.

We've got a better pitching match-up than we did last night, IMO. Agree or disagree?

Just checked vBookie, and Seattle's got more vCash bet on them than Boston does.

That's not the way I think it should be, not that it's that big a deal.

Yes I do agree the Red Sox have a better pitching match-up tonight (but the sox don't do well with no name pitchers) but I believe they will break out tonight since they are due!!! Not saying Nava is the only one but his name is the most recent

The way you phrased your comment on Nava was open to misinterpretation. Apparently I was guilty of doing that.

I can be too fussy about that sort of thing now and then. Sorry about that!

No worries. it just seems as of late if there is a base running blunder it has been Nava. I still don't get why he was put in there instead of Iglesias. I heard Farrell's reasoning but I don't buy it. You play to tie the game first!

Not the 1st half inning I was hoping for, but survivable.

Let's see how quickly we can get into their bullpen. If we did that sooner than we have been lately
it would be very nice.

2-1 Red Sox... Pedroia sagfe on an error... Will this get him out of his slump?

Another thing that would be nice: an end to may current streak of missing Red Sox
runs while posting here.

Commercial breaks I don't mind missing, however pretty the girls in them may be.

That's not what I tune in for!

Did I read correctly where Iglesias hit the ball off the wall.... avoided tag at 2nd and ran BACK to 1st?

As I recall he tried to avoid the tag but was unsuccessful.

The fielder was directly between him and 2B, so he had to hope for a throwing error
while he ran the other way. Didn't get the bad throw, regrettably..It was a case of good opposition fielding, not
a base-running blunder.

Ok thanks for clearing that up! I was like WTF was he doing?

Workman's doing a nice job of minimizing our need to trade for more pitching, isn't he?

So who cares if he's not going to record a shut-out tonight? Not me!
