Why its not mostly on the OL

So, of course the OL could play better. But they haven't played that poorly overall, and they are not the primary reason RGIII has struggled. Here is the evidence:

RGIII 13 qtrs, 100 attempts, 15 sacks. Averaging 1.15 sacks per qtr of play and .15 sacks per attempt.
KC 21 qtrs, 204 attempts, 8 sacks. Averaging .38 sacks per qtr of play and .039 sacks per attempt.
Colt 6 qtrs, 42 attempts, 5 sacks. Averaging .83 sacks per qtr of play and .11 sacks per attempt.

RGIII 7.6 yards per attempt, 2% TD ratio to attempts.
KC 8.4 yards per attempt, 4.9% TD ratio to attempts.
Colt 10.2 yards per attempt, 11.9% TD ratio to attempts.

Conclusive evidence that between both Colt and KC, they took fewer sacks per attempt, threw for more yards per attempt, and threw for more TD's per attempt, than RGIII did behind basically the same OL.

Colt and KC may not be the future answer, but RGIII most definitely isn't.

Edit: Colts TD % to attempts is 2.4, not 11.9. My bad.

it isnt all on the o/line however that o/line is substandard

it doesnt show up in sacks when it applies to KC . it shows up in TO's and rushing through his reads

colt does have better pocket presence then Rg3 so i can agree with that

the fact is the top guys who hold the ball the longest are mobile qbs

so how do you fix that ?. get better o/line play if you are playing Rg3 and call quicker pass plays

Apparently we have done that, he simple doesnt throw them even when they are there. (See Sunday, INT1 thread)
