Rotate Haskins & Rudolph like Terry Hanratty & Joe Gilliam……draft OL and throw next year into the toilet, crawl through a river of shit and come out clean on the other side like Andy Dufresne and draft a QB in 2023…..

But you know it won't be Tomlin's way... My money is on he either trades up to draft Pickett, or he throws a lot of capital around in FA to acquire someone. Doubtful he would ever accept anything less than a 0.500 team

Probably justified though. Do you think he would survive a sub 500 season? I know that the Steeler havent been quick with the coaching changes in the past (to say the least) but there is a LARGE part of Steeler nation that doesnt seem to like Tomlin. Correct? As much as the organization might not like change, an upset fan base would probably take precedent I would think.

Yes he would survive. It's a championship culture that is directly fostered by the Rooney family, but they are business-minded people. So I understand the personal dilemma Tomlin faces. But the job security has really never been an issue in Pittsburgh, fans be damned. Cowher & even Noll went through a lot of down years, before or after their glory days. The Rooneys aren't known for knee-jerk assessments. They put a LOT of value into hiring their HC. Unless they have already started courting someone I doubt Tomlin would ever feel the heat. The franchise is a global brand, selling itself... And season-ticket holder waitlist is years out, so the Rooney pockets aren't going to get dinged anytime soon.

These are all the stats that I need to see:

1. No playoff wins since 2016
2. 3-7 in the playoffs in the last 10 years

We can win all the division titles we want, but if we can't make it past the first playoff game, what's the point? If we are in a rebuild, we can't be picking 20th in the draft each and ever year. If we aren't rebuilding, then we BETTER be good enough to win the damn championship. I'm not saying he needs to be fired, but his seat needs to be hot right now. All I'll say is we will see in 2022 whether all these winning seasons was thanks to Ben or Tomlin.

Yeah I've read the criticism of Tomlin from Steelers fans too and it's crazy. They're just so freaking spoiled one little blip in the road and they overreact
A little blip in the road? No playoff wins since 2016, 3-7 in the playoffs since 2011. Yay, we win division titles! Yet we can't win a fucking playoff game to save our lives. It's not a blip in the road, it's a decade of mediocrity.

To answer the question, Mason Rudolph will probably be our starting QB.

There is no QB in free agency that would be worth it to sign and potentially over pay for. There's no QB in the draft that will fall where we are that I would take in the 1st round as our O-Line needs the most help. So I'd say Mason is our QB but that doesn't mean he stays our QB the whole season.

You haven't won a playoff game in 5 years yet you are constantly in the playoffs and were in the AFC Championship Game as recently as 2016.. In those 5 seasons you referenced the Steelers had records of 13-3 and 12-4. Cry me a river, nobody would consider that a mediocre 10 year run. You are spoiled beyond belief and you just proved it.

Believe it or not, we have Seahawk fans in our forum saying that they're tired of the Seahawks Mediocrity since 2015... Spoiled fan base indeed... Great example of fans taking things for granted...

Most fans would love to have the record the Seahawks have had since 2015...

Oh I get it. It seems like a lifetime ago but at one time 10-6 and out of the playoffs was a disappointing year for Washington fans. But they won again so we didn't get that fan reaction, at least at the time.

Where did I say I wasn't spoiled? 5 years without a playoff win is unacceptable for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
