Cueto goes against a first time MLB start for the Rangers. No complaints about it being too cold for the Cubans' to play ball in D/FT.

The Sox seem to have caught an Eloy spark - looking for the hit parade to get contiguous. The Sox have scored more two out runs than any other team in MLB since 7/1.

Grandal has been absolutely brutal...and that's even for the low bar I set for him.

Stat of the day: Grandal has played in 60 games now. In 28 of them he's gone hitless. Basically flip a coin whenever you see him in the lineup...Pick wrong and he goes 0-fer.

Prior to the game - on the Ranger's video feed - Cease was bouncing the resin bag on his hand and then repeatedly taking the resin hand and running it through his hair. I've never seen that before.

Cease gave up a run in the first.

One amazing stat - Abreu is leading the AL in hits with 119. Considering he spent the 1st 6 weeks grabbing air with his bat it's mind boggling.

Standings often have a lot to do with the voting. I was checking out the pitching stats of the AL and to me, the only pitcher I'd have ranked ahead of Dylan at this point is the ageless Justin Verlander. Otherwise, he's right up there with the rest.
