I think Champ Bailey is a 1st ballot HOF guy, in his prime he was the best CB since Deion.

Larry Fitzgerald has solidified himself as a first ballot HOF after this season without a doubt.

There's always doubt for WRs.

Almost always; I think Randy Moss is first-ballot lock. But he's the first WR of whom I'd say that in a long time ...

I just looked at the article. It was pretty ridiculous in how it cited a lot of WRs but no TEs. Gronk even aside, Antonio Gates may be ahead of some of the WRs listed.

Gronk will go down as the GOAT among tight ends.
First Ballot for sure

Be interesting to see when it happens. Gronk is on pace to be the GOAT....but he is a big boy that is prone to injuries and he still has a lot of years to go to get there.

There never has been a 1st year HOF Tight End in the history of the league before. And there have only been 4 WR's (Berry, Warfield, Largent and Rice).

The original list is a safe way to say it because most 1st ballot players are QB's or RB's.

Woodson will get in 1st ballot too I bet just because there won't be a huge number of defensive players to compete with in 5 years and the HOF voting seems to spread around their voting between positions.

What the fuck is Charlie Whitehurst doing on this list???
lol I didn't even see him listed when I copy/pasted it and was too stuck on how things have changed for Willis since August 2014.

I would move Rodgers, Woodson, and Fitz up to first ballot.

You forgot Lance Allworth.

I'm sure this will soon change with Tony Gonzalez.

Belichick doesn't deserve to even get in at all.

You know... because he's a serial cheater.

Patrick Willis :L

I have to assume that's only because he just retired....because he was clearly on his way to the HOF...perhaps even a first ballot guy. Even with his retirement, I think you can make a good case for him in the Hall, despite the lack of defensive players there.

As far as first ballot guys, I think Rodgers should be a first ballot guy, even right now. They guy has done everything you can do at the position, and has been generally regarded as the best QB in the NFL for a good 5 years now. I'd put him in before Brees, even though he's got more numbers.

In the same manner, I'd put Revis as a first ballot player. He may not have the longevity of Bailey or Woodson, but he was the better corner - best pure cornerback since the days of Deion/Rod Woodson - and certainly the best in the last half decade or so.

Yeah I was more referring to what has happened to Willis since the article was written in 2014 and how unfortunate his career ended like it did. He was well on his way to a sure HOF career.

Brandon Marshall.

Since 07 he is behind only CJ by 6 TDS and 650 yds. But also has 130 more receptions than CJ.

He's also been incredibly durable, 7 games missed in 10 years.
