I'm still here. Well actually I'm still in Vegas but I check in everyday to see if anything note worthy has happened with the Kings. So far not much but then they haven't played the first game yet. Lucky me they just happen to get NBCSportsnet here at the resort so I don't have to go next door to the casino sports book to watch the game.

I am in here balls deep. Opening night Kings, Thursday Night Football with a surprisingingly decent Bills and Browns game, and Dodgers opening up the Playoffs in Atlanta. It is a pretty solid night for sports.

Even though I hate baseball, you have to watch the Playoffs, and you especially have to watch when it's the Doyers.

like some have said, offseason is just a slow time but hockey is back so the talk should pick up as well.

If I can stay awake, I've got the Kings game and the Bruins game on Fox Sports 1! Yay nationally televised games that I can watch in michigan!

Was in Downey for an appointment until 4:15, stopped at the pizza joint for the first period and had a beer, got the boys (Ms. Puck has school at Cal Poly on T and Th nights so I have the kids stag), picked up dinner and catching the game between Mickey Mouse Clubhouse/Sofia the First/whatever else Jr. I wants to watch.

Found the game on 870AM on my way to the boys. Interesting, never heard of that station for a Kings game.

Yea that is a pretty fair assessment. I thought the Wild first goal was BS and looked like a distinct kicking motion, but LA's first goal was nice with the PP looking good. Pretty much Wild and Quick from there on out. Very timely goal by Carter with about 6 mins left and it was Regehr pinching that created the opportunity. I wish the Kings D would be more active during the game, because it really does make a difference. Chicago attacks and defends with 5 while LA attacks with 3 and defends with 5.

Overall, good win since they said Minnesota has never lost an opening night home game in that building, and Kings did what they had to do to win.

Shoutout to Lewis for the save of the game, as he bailed out Quick on one opportunity, and shoutout to all involved in the shootout (So...Shoutout to the shootout). Kopitar and Carter did some work and Quick's poke check was really awesome. Completely clowned Koivu.

Good for you brother. When I was out of work all of 2012 as much as it sucked being a dude not working I absolutely LOVED being home with the kids. Fast forward a year and all the kids are that much closer to me. We got by, we budgeted and we made it happen. I went back to work but the love doesn't get forgotten.

Ms. Puck is quitting her job in January being a civil engineer and focusing on her Masters (PE I guess it's called in the engineering world) and I am going back for my law degree when she is done.

Enjoy the school, enjoy the kids. Life is short my man.

Thanks Puck! Yeah it's a different experience that's for sure. I'm working towards my Bachelors in Computer Science and just about done with the AA. Im trying to overload the classes to get it done faster haha its working but damn it is not easy. I do appreciate the time spent with her though, it's incredibly stressful (and the amount you have I would be in a psych ward - so major props for that) but totally worth it.

Ah yeeeaaaaa booooiiiiii! It's good to be back on the forums after a little stint in jail. Extra good to read Puck is still around and doing well and not in jail. Extra extra good to read old Ox is still making it to the games and his Ox in the box report. Bring it on 13-14!!!
