When does Mercer get his shot?

I just saw where NH said he would be the next call up.

Is he good enough to wait until its impossible for him to be super2 arbitration eligible? I dont know, but considering our current shortstop production he deserves a callup to be the starter.

I guess Barmes has 1 month max to turn it around or its Mercer time.

barmes is similar to iwamura or whatever the heck his name was.
too bad it was a 2 yr contract.

barajas seems to be turning out ok.

hopefully, with a good year this year, we wont have to be so desparate in the near future.

with the emergence of mcdonald and burnett a good 2, and a great pen, bedard can settle in as 3 and not have so much pressure or have to eat up innings and cna hopefully stay healthy.

Probably pretty soon, but I don't see any need to cut Barmes, just send Narravo down.

till harrison, mercer, or navarro can show more at short, we cant cut barmes. until then, we dont have an everyday ss that can replace barmes.

They could call up Mercer for tomorrow night's game & it could not come fast enough for me.

Barmes, 5+M per yr, on a 2 yr deal. For that AWFUL production at the dish!

Barmes had a really good streak going for about a week and a half, hitting about .380, but that production is all gone recently. He's dangerously close to the Mendoza Line. I would NOT cut him though, that's just silly.
