One that could be an interesting experiment

1.) Patty - Joe - Galiardi
2.) Clowe - Couture - Wingles
3.) Havlat - Pavelski - Winnick
4.) Mitchell - Handzus - Moore/Desjardins/Winchester/Vandy/

EDIT: D - man
1.) Boyle - Vlasic
2.) Burns - Murray
3.) Braun - Demers

just having some fun thinking about line combinations

I hope Todd goes something like:

Galiardi-Thornton-Pavs
Couture-Marleau-Havlat
Winnik-Moore-Mitchell
Clowe-Handzus-Wingels
Winchester

Clowe demoted because he's sucking. But if he gets his shit straight, then:
Galiardi-Thornton-Pavs
Couture-Marleau-Clowe
Winnik-Moore-Havlat
Mitchell-Handzus-Wingels

I like Marleau at center, I remember him having some good games there earlier this season. Moore/Winnik seem like a duo the coaches like together. They have to find a way to get TJ Galiardi some ice time. He adds a good balance of skill and athleticism to the lineup.

And as an experiment type lineup, I'd go:
Clowe-Thornton-Pavs (grind it out line)
Couture-Marleau-Havlat (speed, skill)
Winnik-Moore-Mitchell (speed, shutdown)
Galiardi-Handzus-Wingels (spare parts)

Good topic CJ. Here's what I'd do.

1.) Pavelski-Thornton-Galiardi
2.) Marleau-Couture-Clowe
3.) Winnick-Handzus-Havlat
4.) Winchester-Moore-Wingels

I'd try to balance out the minutes too.

Marleau, Pavelski, Thornton, Couture = 18:30 minutes
Havlat, Clowe = 17:00 minutes
Winnick, Handzus, Moore, Galiardi = 13:00 minutes
Wingels, Winchester = 10:00 minutes

IMO it depends on what the coaching staffs game plan is. I prefer a three offensive line set up with a 4th line that's used as a shutdown energy line. Right now the coaching staff is using a two line offense with a defensive 3rd line and a mostly useless 4th line designed to be an energy line.

Three scoring lines:

Galiardi - Thornton - Pavelski
Marleau - Couture - Wingels/Havlat
Clowe - Moore - Wingels/Havlat
Winnik - Desjardins - Mitchell

Two scoring lines:

Marleau - Thornton - Pavelski
Clowe - Couture - Havlat
Winnik - Moore - Mitchell
Winchester - Desjardins - Wingels

You don't think Handzus has a place in the lineup?

Not with what the coaching staff seems to be putting an emphsis on. Puck possession, skating (Speed and Agility), and driving play to the offensive zone. Handzus's possession numbers are okay but not enough to make up for his slow skating and inability to drive play towards the offensive zone.

I would say I want:

Jumbo-Pavs-Wingels
Couture-Havlat-Galiardi
Clowe-Winnik-marleau
Moore-handzus-Winchester

Puts patty back at center (jumbo-cooch-Marleau as 1-2-3 at center). Also puts a secondary threat on each line (pavs, havlat, and clowe).

I thought wingels played well with jumbo and he forechecking ability is good on that line. Line two is fast and gives galiardi an opportunity with real linemates. Line three is big and a puck possession line.

Line 4 sucks, but I suppose you need 4 lines :-)

The TOI should be roughly 18-19 mins per line 1 through 3 and 3-5 mins for line 4.
