I'm talking N64/PS1 and backwards. Anything from that time frame and prior is on the table. Feel free to bring up game that are great but aren't always mentioned among the classics.

I'll start by saying Shadows of the Empire for N64. For 1996, that was a pretty damn good 3rd person (with 1st person option) shooter, and had a decent storyline as well.

Super Mario World for Super Nintendo...that game has so many secret levels/areas it's ridiculous. We were able to figure a lot of them out when I was younger, but I actually played through it all with a guide a few years ago using an emulator on my computer. It's like they designed a whole extra game's worth of levels, and then hid them.

That specifically mentions XBox and PS3 in the title of forum, both platforms which are well removed from classic gaming. Not sure what your beef is.

My beef usually goes in sketti or tacos.

Should we stop discussing Xbox1 and PS4 games in that forum too? My whole world seems to now be a lie! :dizzy:

I've honestly never played any Zelda.

And I want to add Bad Dudes, RBI Baseball and Back to the Future - Nintendo

Brigandine for the ps1 is my all time favorite game. I still break it out at least once a year for a play through.
I loved lots of games from that Era though, back when not everything was either first person shooter, hacked slash, or racer. Chrono trigger, Suikoden, Ogre battle, tactics ogre, final fantasy tactics some of my other faves, I'm sure I forgot at least 4-5 more games that I put several hundred hours into over the years.
