Change of scenery appears to have benefitted them both. Witherspoon played well in 2021 but became an absolute turd last year. Dotson looked good in spot-starts as a rookie but never lived up to that hype the last couple years. He was always hurt though.

Theres something to be said about LA having vastly superior schemes for its personnel.

I think this will be another sleepwalk game... Tomlin-led teams seem to do worse with more prep time. Combine that with a cross-country game on the west coast... Yea this is likely going to be another ugly game.

Instead of making necessary changes, Tomlin held some meetings with the offensive staff. Yay. True to form Tomlin is probably just taking more control of the offense. Can't wait to see how that works out.

The Rams matchup really well though.

The Rams D has an incredibly easy task to stop the Steelers offense which is very predictable. Aaron Donald is going up against one of the worst PFF graded centers in the league. Also, the Steelers are stupidly going to bench their best LT so that should also benefit the Rams.

Rams O shouldn't have many problems. Easiest task is attacking the Steelers secondary which has been porous. Kupp & Puka will feast. Stafford just needs to play cleanly & get the ball out quick. Steelers D will only be effective if the pass rush gets after him. And the Steelers interior isn't all that great. Inconsistent at best. Depth along the DL has been exploitable so the Rams should be able to run the ball no matter who totes the ball.

Yet another game where the team looks virtually lifeless for 3 quarters until the lights come on in the final 15 minutes. Don't know how they keep on being so damn lucky. 3 missed FGs ended up being a huge difference yesterday.

Offense still cannot figure out an identity. Oddly, the offense started targeting the intermediate to deep window a lot yesterday. Which played right into the Rams' strengths of playing deep zones, which led to Kenny getting harrassed by their pass rush. Would have been smart to mix up some quicker hitting passes like Matt Canada is known to deploy, but he never makes any sense strategically so why start now. Terrible time to start deploying the PA & 5-7 step dropbacks when the Rams' pass rush was in the backfield over 75% of the snaps. This OL is a hot mess.

Defense continues to bleed yards. Rushing & passing. Rams picked up Henderson off the couch and the dude ran for nearly 4yds per tote. Freeman had over 5yds per tote. This defensive line is struggling. They need Cam back. If it weren't for untimely penalties & drops on the Rams' behalf this scoreboard would have looked a lot different. Levi Wallace still continuing his PS-worthy performances. Glad to see JPJ getting more work and pushing P2 into the slot, but man that kid needs to learn how to tackle.
