Without a doubt... lol Most likely going to look like Alan Faneca out there.

I mean, if ya think about it he's likely going to be dealing mostly with a rookie, Keanu Benton, most of the time. Nothing against Benton, but rookies tend to have games where they disappear. And Green will have the benefit of knowledge of how the Steelers DL operates.

Hope I'm wrong but this has the feel of one of those classic sleepwalk games.

Just pray that the Texans' field turf doesn't claim any victims this weekend.

That news about Green starting in front of Benton needed to be shared.

We've all seen enough of Green. I don't see him faring well, even if he knew all the plays before they happened, he's just physically incapable.

5th in passing yards
7th in passing yds/att
9th in passer rating
Tied for 5th in passing TDs
ZERO interceptions this season

28th in rushing yds
Tied for dead last in rushing yds/carry
Only 1 rushing TD


Texans D this season:

16th Overall Defense

29th in passing comp percentage allowed.
23rd in passing yds/attempt allowed.
17th in passing yds allowed.

17th in rushing yds allowed.
19th in rushing yds/carry allowed.
Tied for last in rushing TDs allowed.

HOWEVER... They are tied for 2nd best in TDs allowed.


Their schedule thus far:

Week 1: @BAL - Lost 9-25 ...
Week 2: vsIND - Lost 20-31 ...
Week 3: @JAX - Won 37-17 ... They really came alive in this game.

Seems like an easy gameplan here looking at their stats on paper...

Offense should be able to have a balanced attack. They are most exploitable through the air.

Defense just needs to shut down their passing attack.

I watched some of the Texans game against Baltimore... And a couple things stuck out to me:

1. Baltimore offense exploited the short window all game long. Short throws that went for big gains, and runs were opening up garage-sized openings. Matt Canada probably loves what he sees with this film. However, Canada's offense is far more predictable so I still suspect they labor for yards.

2. Texans allowed 4-5 sacks in this game. Their OL has been patchworked all year. This is the key to the game IMO. Steelers need to get after Stroud early & often to prevent their passing attack from coming alive. All eyes will be on the interior DL going against the likes of Kendrick Green. TJ & Highsmith just need to do their thing. I believe their startings OTs are out in this game, along with their starting G.

They only have ONE starter playing from their planned line this offseason.

They are down to 3rd string guys and PS guys being pressed into a starting role. It's a trainwreck.

Josh Jones would be their best hope at LT, but he's injured and probably isn't active.

Washington is expected to play even though he didn't practice yesterday. James Daniels is trending towards OUT. Herbig has been taking snaps all week at RG.
