After watching a continued poor effort on the offense and some big mistakes by a defense that was appeared to be getting better, the Rams move on to Phoenix to play a Christmas eve-eve game against the Cardinals. This game should be a win but because Goff remains in some sort of fail-mode, this game could be closer than expected. Gurley has some knee swelling that McVay stated should be a non-issue by game-time.

After watching that implosion Sunday night, the Rams have a lot of issues to correct. We all know what they are. What the Rams are now facing is getting HFA which is slowly slipping away as New Orleans keeps winning while we are on a present losing streak at the worst time of the year.

This will be an afternoon game so I am sure we will all be watching to see if the Rams can get back on track and keep the pressure on NO as the Saints play Pissburgh this week.

McVay has been discovered and his offense has been figured-out by defensive coordinators. He had better get his head out of genius ass and adapt to counter what DC's have done or we will be one and done.

He is learning though, especially with game management activities like using your time-outs in a more prudent and judicious fashion that favors the Rams. He made better choices with time-outs on Sunday and you could see the growth in the area from McVay.

Now he has to move on to managing his players better. Gurley should be rested but we are thin at a number of positions including RB and which is another one of our weaknesses. Kelly needs to be played as maybe some substitutions on the O-line for Sullivan and Whitworth are in order as well.

The good teams figure out how to get deep at every position like Don Klostermann and Chuck Know did with the Rams teams of the seventies. McVay is getting there. That is why the next moves he and Snead should make is to move Talib and Peters and replace them with Ramsey and Petersen.

I think McVay will rise to the challenge but until he gets all the facets of the HC position, we may not go very far this year post-season.

If rams could land those 2 it would be quite a secondary... then the problem would be finding some decent LBs to replace the stiffs we have... unless a new scheme is put in place..

Well Peterson and Ramsey might not be the answer, when we got Peters and Talib it seemed to be quite the coup?
Maybe its the so called scheme we play, or I should say Don't play.

Retro mentioned other teams have figured us out, why cant we figure out the teams we are playing?

Ramsey is a great cover corner who will fit any scheme, Talib was a good corner who just got old and more injured. Peters is a gambler than needs a good corner on the other side to be better. Thus when Talib has played, Peters plays better.

My issue is with Phillips, we are not blitzing enough. Aaron Donald needs help, blitzing more will free up Aaron Donald to less double and triple teams.

so basically we get to play one dimensional football unless Kelly and anderson can do something
I was hoping Anderson would be able to run behind this O-Line. He did well when he was with Denver. And its the 3-11 Cardinals we are playing. Rams will be fine
