This one is all LT. He is awful. All you have to do with the Hokies defense is take care of the ball. And he cannot even do that. Please Frank, lets see what Leal can do.

I think the reality of this game is we never had a chance at winning. When you look at it, our defense had a B level performance today (I'd say B-). With how bad our offense is (Hi LT!) at turning the ball over, we have to have an A level defensive performance every game for us to have a legit shot at winning.
Because the offense is just that bad. Logan killed us yet again with bad turnovers (minus the tip that wasn't his fault) and poor throws. Yardage stats be damned. They don't mean shit when your turnovers give the points. People, whether its fans or media, need to stop making excuses for him. It's not the talent his has or had around him. The facts are he's a 5th year senior that's not a good QB. He's average at best and infuriatingly terrible at his worst. I said it at the start of the season and I was right; our defense will give us a shot at winning, but the outcome will go as far as LT takes us. If he plays serviceable, we'll win. If he stinks the joint up, we'll lose and you have no idea what you'll get from week to week, scratch that, drive to drive.

I am not giving LT a pass the last couple of weeks and not today either. The pick 6 he threw was horrible. But I think you guys are expecting a whole lot out of the guy when really, he has little to nothing of a supporting cast. The only truly reliable receiver on the field this year has been Byrn. Stanford, Kline, and Knowles have made some plays, but have also had some horrible drops, routes, etc. The running game is non existent. That really lets the D pin their ears back and come after him on nearly every play. LT is far from perfect..but he has had ZERO help...especially from the running game (RBs and OL).

Sparks, I agree with you to some extent. But then LT needs to manage the game. Especially when we are nursing a lead. The turnovers just kill us with the bad fumbles and picks.
This team has won based on defensive performance. Just keep BC from a short field!!!

OK. Now we know why Beamer kept Journell around. I would have fired him after last week, but I guess they know he can boot the ball 56 yards. He's re-hired, I guess. Maybe they just need someone else for chip shots.
As far as Thomas, he's got the arm strength, but possibly not the judgment. Loeffler really has to have a talk with him about trying to salvage a play deep in your own territory. If the play is gone, don't take a chance. Repeat, if the play is gone, don't take a chance.
Another frustrating loss, that could have been a win with fewer significant mental mistakes.
