Rams come out a bit sloppy, but win 23-17. AZ scores a ST TD and we win a good battle.

Another Week 1 thread?

Perhaps confusion and repetition will be a Rams strategy for 2013.

IMHO we arent there yet. We beat a team at home that by most accounts we were suppose to beat. It took all day and we had to pack a lunch. Its not going to get any easier from here on out. I know it was the first game. And I am sure as hell glad we won. But it wasnt pretty or a cake walk. This year is going to be tough. But it will make the overall team stronger in the long run.

Ozark. AZ is pretty legit. They are no San Fran or Seattle, but they have a good QB, ok RB's, really good WR's, and a pretty good D too. Their secondary plays really tight. Our O-line is better, our WR's are better, and our QB is better.

Yes I said it. Besides his 2 bonehead plays close to his own End Zone, Bradford was pretty good. But to be really good, you have make better decisions and be consistent.

The Defense will get better. Still some questions at LB and at safety - that's our weakness.

Next step: Make better decisions and win on the road. Play even tighter D.

Fully agree SJ. I am not worried about the Defense at all it will win a few games for us this year. Just believe we are not quite there yet. And this season will be a meat grinder. Love the fing sheep av believe the true humor in it is lost on most. lol

It's early bro. Sloppiness will get better, but these guys have to lock in and FOCUS. That starts at QB and Sam needs to start abusing defenses like Sheep. lol

You know you may have stumbled on something there. The squad calls him Cookie and he is a Monster...

Well you can see where I'm going with this...

I really only counted one "bonehead play", to be honest. That fumble could've been a back breaker. Thank God for Daryl Richardson being at the right place, at the right time.

Beyond that, Bradford's day was pretty much flawless. Once the offense settles in and the playbook is opened up a bit more, I expect a lot more of the same. :)

Along with the touch pass he threw at the AZ D-lineman that was tipped and then Pick 6. It was a good play, but you don't throw that ball ANYWHERE the defender can reach it.. Especially around your own end zone.

Both bonehead plays were close to our own End Zone. That cannot happen and like you said, we are luck D Rich was right there to get that fumble in the 4th quarter.

Ehh... I don't know. The Cards blitzed, Lance Kendricks was open on the hot read and Bradford made the right throw. I think that was more a heads up play by Matt Shaughnessy, than anything else. It was tipped just behind the line of scrimmage, not downfield in coverage. I mean... by that rationale every pass thrown over the defensive line is "where a defender can reach it".

If that ball is 6" to the left, right, or up, it's a (minimal) gain for the Rams. Provided Kendricks actually catches it, that is. Lol.
