My days of following other teams are all but dead. Kids and work take up most of my time, so I will honestly say, I've never heard of the guy?

He is coming from a proven LB core and a proven defense. I hope some of that translates to the Bears Defense especially the younger Lb's on our roster.

I read he was the #2 OLB stat wise that was available. I know it didnt mean much with Lamar Houston, being ranked the top DE in football last year, but it leads us to a change to the 3-4.

I like it for his age, a slight pause w/ some injury issues and like Willie Young before him, he's on the upswing in his career.
He's been a situational pass rusher (a very good one) Can he be an every down player?

but right now he is bringing in players to make the training camp roster, 75 or 80, not the final 53.

and I dont disagree, when Pace was hired, he had final say on the roster. When the choices went from B listers to Fox a week later, I believe that changed. I dont think Fox would have come here with a first time GM, like Elway in Denver.

Any GM worth his weight is working closely with the Coach, particularly a new Coach and staff and particularly when they've all come from different teams. They all have got to have some priorities on a team with this many holes, plenty of thoughts on who they would like to see in the system being implemented, either guys that they have worked with or guys from similar systems... all communicated to Pace.

From what I have read here in the last day or two,McPhee has played in games his entire 3 year career?

So yeah,I can see this..........I never heard of him either.
