Sorry about this SCWZ. That's a long haul of a return ahead. Speaks volumes why players need to be careful in not resigning while healthy

Good lord that contract look even more horrendous now.

But what shitty luck for Wall. A random slip and fall at his house and he ruptures his Achilles. That's an injury where he might not ever be the same again, especially for guard whose game relied heavily on his speed and quickness. And that was already on top of developing an infection from his last injury. Who cursed John Wall? He's got a health demon after him right now

To bad to hear this about Wall. Being out that long is never good for anyone.

the irony is that he called the season quits to get the procedure to AVOID an achilles injury in the future. Bad Luck here.

In all honesty, Wizards were totally screwed here anyway.

Now it just removes and chance of a Wall trade until like 2024 at least.

"Wall, who is making $19.2 million this season, is signed through the 2022-23 season. He will make $38.2 million next season, $41.2 million in 2020-21, $44.3 million in 2021-22 and $47.3 million in 2022-23."

They should totally strip the roster bare like RIGHT NOW. You can still tank for a couple of years and roster build even with that albatross of Wall's contract. It's not ideal, but its workable.

But since its Leonsis and Grunfeld, they won't. Instead, they'll probably trade for some marginal player chasing the 8th seed

They should have done it months ago when they still had a chance to deal wall.
