I think the range has been set with Sam Gagner signing for $3.2 for 1 year. Sam has 5 years, is 22 and just had a 18-29-47 +5 season. Career 5 years
77-143-220 -42. Jake is last year 18-31-49 +11 and for 4 years is 57-126-183 +12. Gagner average 15-25-44 and Jake is 14-31-45. Jake does average about 80 games per season while Sam looks closer to 72-74. Can you say 1 or 2 years at $3-3.2?

probably closer to 4 is my guess.. teddy purcell just signed for 4ish i think and voracek is better than purcell

might be down around 3 if it's a 1 year contract though (jake will be UFA next summer if they go that route, which may be what gagner did? i'm not sure though)

Likely they will include a new clause so that if the new cap is set to say, 85% of the current cap (just making up a number here), then all existing contract salaries but not signing bonuses will be reduced to 85% of the current value.

So hopefully the answer is we'd be over due to Weber's deal and probably have to shed a 1-2 million contract. HINT: JODI SHELLEY.
