Oh crap. I didn't even know he was hurting. This is even more reason to play a true 4-3. You can still fade a safety over Jefferson and make the other guys beat you. Nothing else matters if you can't stop the run unless you can get up big early and force them to throw any way.

They could put Parsons in Dlaws spot and start Clark,Cox and Barr at linebacker . Teams are adjusting to those nickel defenses and are running all over the defense. And I agree about Jefferson.

It's a rock and a hard place for the defense. They have to commit to stopping the run, even if it means giving up some big pass plays. Every team doesn't have an Aaron Rodgers. Cousins will burn us some, but if you force him to throw a lot, he will throw a couple to us as well

I would rather face Cousins. They got to force 3rd and longs in this game.

Parsons at strong side DE FT would be a problem. IMHO we need to play him at LB on run downs and edge or blitz from LB spot on passing downs. As amazing as he is, him not holding the edge in the run game has been part of the problem

Yes, for the first time in a while it's really on him big time. My gut tells me he responds. As much as I have criticized him the last few weeks and about the run defense overall for a long time now, I still think Quinn is one of our biggest assets.

No doubt. Quinn is a big reason why we are 6-3 / 4-1 without Dak. Sometimes the stars line up against you and I think the perfect storm happened in the 4rth quarter for GB. The wheels came off for a while. I put that game on him. Quinn gets this fixed.

I love Sam Williams and want him to play more, but he isn't known as a run stopper and I don't see moving him to DT on 3rd downs. But, I'm all for increasing his snaps and even starting him

He's 6'4" 265.. Quinn used to use guys that size at DT on 3rd and long in Seattle and Atlanta

They could, but we all know this team doesn’t like to sit those they paid.

They list him a little lighter (260lbs) but just because it's been done before with someone doesn't mean we will do it with him. We had other DEs that have done it before here and are a better fit for that. I don't see us moving him inside on pass rush downs. It just doesn't make any sense. Just let him rush from the edge spot. He will get more and more snaps as the year goes on. For a play or two here and there, sure. There are always sets where you try to do different things but not in general

They seem to be bring Williams along slowly. The raw pass rushing skills are there. He just needs more snaps now. He could be a double digit sack type guy very easily. He has already shown he can beat very good NFL tackles. It's also been proven he made the better SEC tackles look bad in college.
