North Carolina AD apologizes to Clemson for jabbing football fans on video board

During a break in action of Clemson's 21-20 victory in Chapel Hill, the video board displayed individuals with overlaid captions insinuating that they were bandwagon Clemson fans.

One shot suggested a lady "thinks that Clemson is in Georgia." Another teased that a man "thinks 'The Fridge' (former Clemson All-American William Perry) is just a kitchen appliance."

TBH I didn't think it was a big deal at first and thought it was much ado about nothing.

Then when I was talking to one of my tailgate crew who went to the game about it he was royally pissed. I mentioned it was nothing and he replied with "What do you think UNC's administration would have done if one of UNC's students had created a poster like that about other students and put it in a public place? They would have disciplined the student for bullying." I sat there for a few seconds and I actually agree with him on that.

He also made the point that judging by the amount of orange in the stands UNC made a pretty decent amount of money off the "band wagon" fans that turn Kenan orange just about every time they go.

Unless there was something not mentioned in the article, this is harmless... And it's not unusual to see opponent's fans on the screen during a break in action.
