Hindsight is 20/20 and we'll never know what would've happened, but with Choo and Chirinos already out, I don't think I would've let Odor have the day off.

Mazara looks promising though. Just from his body language and the way he carries himself, he looks like he's already been playing in the majors for 5 years.

Glad I missed this frustrating shit against Weaver who is 11-0 vs the Rangers in Anahiem

Only wish I had seen Mazara today

You will see lots of lineups for Sunday day games with key guys being rested. It was the same last year with Jeff as it was with Wash, its almost as if we aren't trying to put winning lineups out there on Sunday

From the box score it appears the leadoff guy and the bottom third of the lineup did not show at all today

Perusing the standing after the first week...

AL West is the tightest division... All teams within 1.5 of first.

Man, how'd you like to be a Twins fan; 6 games in and you're already 4.5 out of first. Yeesh.

This wasn't an easy question for me, but 50% say Mazara so I guess a lot of folks didn't find it so difficult. I think those discounting Joey are going to be really surprised at some point how much he will eventually adjust in the big leagues and perform much better than he did overall last year.

I missed the game but here is my GUESS. Mazara never faced Weaver and went with what was thrown to him. The veterans tried to guess what was thrown to them and did a bad job of it. But I have no factual evidence to back that up.

They were discussing that on the radio. They thought the veterans should just forget everything they knew about Weaver.

Im trying hard not to get frustrated with the offense as much because of how early it is, but it seems no matter the hitting coach, we will get the same results from our hitters. I realize the coaches don't swing the bats. Last year other teams had quite a bit of success against Weaver in a down year but we don't seem to do that.....well almost ever.

I think Gallo will adjust and have a solid career and hit a lot of HRs, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong in thinking Mazara will have a better overall career

I feel like this team's hitters out think themselves a lot.

No, I wasn't talking necessarily about you or anyone in particular. I just think there are some who look at last year and think well he isn't that good. There are a whole lot of fans who judge a young player way too early and they sometimes do in in an unfavorable way like with Joey and Jurickson and sometimes they do it in a favorable way like with with Mazara. I get the feeling if Mazara goes 3 for his next 25 with no HRs that those numbers would be entirely different if the poll was done again. Folks are just way too easily swayed when it comes to young players and early results.

Maz might not have the highest ceiling of the two, but he has to have the lowest floor. That's not a bad thing for a COF bat.

Oh I know, but I wanted to put my perspective on it, I in no way took your post as directed towards me
