Mark Dantonio is now 24-23 in his last 4 seasons, 15-18 in the B10, and needs to win two of his final 3 games this year to become bowl eligible. It certainly would seem that Dantonio's 'pride comes before the fall' statement has become a self fulfilling prophecy.

Beat State!

The biggest problem for Michigan State is the school went cheap for assistant coaches. Minnesota is spending more on their guys than Michigan State. This team has become so bad at all aspects of football it’s pathetic. I think it’s time for Mark to just step aside and Michigan State go in a different direction because of refusal to do anything with the coaching staff after last season.

Honestly, if Dantonio doesn't fire every single one of his assistant coaches this off season and entirely switch it up; the AD should force him to retire. But I feel like your new AD simply doesn't have that power. I could totally see him firing a couple guys, hiring no one of consequence and it being just as bad next year (especially with as many defensive guys as MSU loses and no QB on the roster who you hope could be better).

Your problem wasn’t coaching as much as it was an inept AD department. Trust me I am an expert on such matters.

At the end, Les Miles was a fucking problem .

It seems like there's lots of coaches who have trajectories like that. Great early on success and then they just burn out in the end. Happened to Lloyd here, happened to Miles at LSU, Dantonio at MSU and I'm sure I could go on.

Not the first few years but he had a B10 title within the first 4; something that hadn't been done at MSU since 1990. And he beat Mich in year 2.

He doesn't look too proud to me.

Just look at him. He never AND I MEAN NEVER fucking smiles. Look at those bags under his eyes. Those furrowed lines in his brow...that dude has some major baggage. Probably hiding some secrets.

I'm sorry but I don't see any pride in that dude.

The dood has always reminded me of the NCAA's version of Sith Belichick … minus the Ws & titles.

What is Dantonio's head to head record vs. Michigan as Spartan coach?
