Interesting hire. You might remember Monken aimlessly roaming the Cleveland Browns sidelines this past season, but more notably, he's the guy who was able to craft the #1 passing offense in the NFL in 2018 from a yardage perspective. Quite the switch from Georgia's inexplicably milquetoast offense in 2019.

Hopefully this means Kirby has finally seen that he needs to modernize the offense, especially now that the receiving group should be far improved in 2020.

Only problem for the time being is that they don't have a proven pocket passer. Newman can throw, but he's fairly mediocre when it comes to accuracy. It may take some time. My guess is he's looking forward to developing that Beck kid.
